I just had my iPhone 6 Plus replaced for a faulty logic board, and updated the new device to 9.3. When the backup was complete and the phone booted up, the device continuously prompts for my Apple ID password, and says Verification Failed. Apps, data, iCloud content won't restore until the password is accepted. There's really no way around this. Reverted back to 9.2.1 for now but I would like to find a way to restore from my 9.3 backup. Anyone else encountered this?

I got to the same point, and was still able to solve the issue using Recovery Mode and iTunes to install the 9.3b3 IPSW (upgrade from 9.3b2).

I have this same problem. I tried this exact way mulitple times with the same outcome. You have to have the beta 3 ispw downloaded and then hit alt/restore and pick the beta 3 ispw after the shut down and reconnect.
How did you fix the "firmware not compatible"?
Can confirm this method works, worked for me at least despite some said it didnt work. I download both beta 2 ans 3 IPSW from a reddit thread and followed the steps to the letter.
I really just kept trying to install it and it finally just worked, I really don't have a better explanation than that. Good luck! Hopefully theyll just release the beta 4 soon that fixes this..

restored to 9.3 beta 2 setup as clean device not problem at all.
restore my encrypted backup, after updating to beta 3 and BOOM.. verification errors all over..

Running into the same problem. I have an iPhone 6s Plus and it was running iOS 9.3 Beta 6. I had some hardware issues with it and Apple replaced it for a new device. Because I was unable to turn it on, I wasn't able to do a iTunes backup, therefore I only have the iCloud version.
After receiving the new device, I updated it to the same version of the software the old one was running and went through the setup process, all the way to entering my Apple ID, accepting the terms, selecting Restore from iCloud Backup, and then also entering in the password to another Apple ID which is connected to a few apps I have in that backup.
It gets to the "Restore in Progress" page and under the progress bar it says, "Time remaining: estimate..." No actual time and it sits there until I receive a popup notification that says "Cannot restore backup"
Has anyone figured out a solution? I hate to lose all of my iMessage history, Apple Watch backups and app data.
