Verification Failed - Error connecting to the Apple ID Server (Possible fix)

I've been seeing a number of people (including myself) being stuck in an iOS storm where we could not sign into our Apple ID after updating to iOS 9.3 betas.

I have a possible solution, it worked for me and might work for you.

Prerequisites: Backup if you haven't yet

1) Use iTunes to restore the iPhone to iOS 9.2.1.

2) Set up as new device

3) Download config file from the Resources page of the Developer site

4) Update your phone over the air.

5) Restore your backup!

My problem was iTunes. When using the .ipsw file downloaded from the member center, it created this verification bug. It seems that an OTA update doesn't do this, and I have no idea why.

just FYI,

i have the verification "bug" aswell.

I have a backup from last thursday. ios9.3 (beta3).

Just rolledback to ios9.3 beta 2 and setup as new iphone. Login with appleid en itunes account.. now problemo.

So i upgrade to beta 3, all things normal..

Now i put back my backup from thursday, BOOM, stuck with the verification error again.

I had some correspondence thru the feedback app but it the steps provided weren't clear and now i wait again before they respond.

So for me, this is not a fix, but i do thank you for trying and sharing.

here are the steps:

1. roll back to 9.2.1

2. Dfu mode to install 9.3.2 beta ipsw

3. restore back from 9.3 beta from your itunes

4. when it comes to the screen which asks you to input apple id info, turn off of the phone and disconnect the phone from your computer.

5. keep holding the home button and insert the cable in the computer.

6. Install 9.3.3 beta ipsw by updating (not restore)

I was having same prob. So glad they came out with beta 4. Restores with no probs!!

another approach: check your VPNs (if any) and possibly disable it/them for the time being. At least on mine (5s/9.3 rel) those were preventing the iOS conencting properly (however some services were not affected).
