Simpler app developing program required

Can apple make a simpler app developing program then xCode is? There is thousands of people with an app idea just like me which don't have time to studying the language so the program could make it much more easier for them. There was one made by Microsoft (called project siena) which was in early stage of developing and unfortunately it was suddenly abandoned by Microsoft. Can apple make even better then they did? I'm pretty sure that apple can but will he?

Sure you can assume the tool you want is possible, and wait. But if you look at how far ideas such as Dashcode and BuzzTouch have improved over the last few years, with many companies investing millions in creating and improving app development tools, it looks like you might have a verrrrrrry long wait. I met dozens of high school student at a recent science fair. Instead of waiting for some easier tool, they just learned to code using the existing tools (from Xcode to Android Studio to even gcc and make) and wrote their app. Done.

>It will cost $30. Then pay $99 and in a few weeks you can have an app.

The OP has already pushed back against spending any money for resource, including a dev account, so you may be wasting your breath. That's what makes this such a lost cause here, actually. It's ok to spend on a desk and computer and internet access, but they draw the line on a service that may help pay for all of those (even if some devs got a free Apple TV as part of the bargain).

You may be able to see them a pair of self-tieing shoes, tho. Just be prepared to show they are also self-charging, self-installing, self-cleaning, self-buying and self-locating under the bed. Whatever you do, don't make it hard to get dressed or you'll have to apologize for making life unbearable.

Thanks MachoMan

I only looked into a core data to see how much it takes to build something very easy. I already have been trough calculator within that three weeks and I fully understood it. I went through variables and all other easy things and I can say I really like that. However the further I get the more confusing it gets. Specially with functions. And when I’m trying to understand it then there is simply no easy way to understand that… Even those guys who are making those videos on youtube doesn’t understand them at all. Just blindly copy and paste it from template and fill them as they have been taught. I can see absolutely no logic in that.

I don’t know what kind of app you have made within that time but I can say I have made fully working personal money manager app within a 2 weeks in that program I was talking about (no templates - no dragging dropping etc) . It was my first app and I only made it to get familiar with the program. It had running balance, automatic credit cards payments, payees payers, backups to a file etc.. everything created from scratch. I have even sent the app to store but after a time I had to pull it out because the program missed some functionality which were promised to be added. They had been added but not in that program unfortunately. So the program was created but unfinished.

I can remember the time about 16 years ago when the most advanced CPU was around 600Mhz on the market. And when i said that there will more then 1Ghz in few years then everyone (even PC experts) kept telling me exactly the same things. (it will not be at this time because they would have to break atom to make CPU 1Ghz or more to fit it into a “small” pc case). It sounds funny now. Doesn’t it?

You lost me a bit. You had an app made with the "tool" you are talking about, but you had to pull the app from the store because the tool you were using didn't create the app properly with all the functionality you wanted? If that is what you mean, there it is. A tool like that is very hard/practically impossible to write and maintain, especially with forever changing APIs.

You can sit around and hope for it to come, we both will probably be dead before one that is actually good comes out. As mentioned, Apple does not do this for things that it should be done for (like the web...and that is a hellava lot of work to do but do-able, but still a lot less work than what you are talking about.). And what happened when the tool went away? You lost everything because you handcuffed yourself to that tool. They gave you a fish, sounds like it was spoiled and uneatable, but they didn't teach you how to fish (write an app).

You get variables and the basics, you say, but you've had enough and want to give up. That is your choice. But if you already wrote a calculator and have some understanding of what you are doing, write another simple app that does something else. You don't write a simple calculator app and then go jumping into advanced APIs like Core Data the next day. You should consider finding an online class for iOS development so you can work with someone who provides structured assignments. You are taking yourself into deep water without knowing how to swim by just googling around for tutorials to "do something". You can very quickly get lost by just searching tutorials on youtube too.

OR....as previously mentioned,, hire a programmer if you want to sell your app but don't want to learn how to write it yourself. That is okay. If I wanted to build an extra room on to my house, I'd hire someone who knows how to build it. I'm not going to learn how to do that. I'm okay with that. But I wouldn't say, someone needs to build me a robot, that can build the room I want.

No..it doesn't. If you want to use examples of improvements in technology as a crutch by all means go ahead. I can go ahead and start smoking because cancer treatment has gotten better over the last few years. In 10-15 years they'll have a cure if I end up with lung cancer.
