My submissions to iTunes Connect are stuck in the processing stage under "Activity". I resubmitted a new build and it too is stuck in processing. Any one else?
Stuck in "(Processing)"
So the answer is 'patience'. It may also be a 'phase transition' problem. The Apple system is usually capable of handling the normal or even above normal load. If something slows the system, for example the need to check for one or another software issue within submissions, then we developers immediately submit multiple builds of the same submission thereby increasing the load on the system (see all the posts below - in my case I submitted two builds of each app thereby, on average, doubling the load). If the system is already operating at or close to capacity our actions only exacerbate the problem.
Go ahead and complain about the Apple iOS environment. But recognize that, as a whole, it is wonderful to be able to use so much free software to generate apps for millions and millions of devices available worldwide. Sort of like complaining about the pits in cores of the (lower case) apples in the Garden of Eden.
Jesus, enough already. We get it, we are blessed and anyone who opens their mouth should go develop for android. Websites are hard. Itunes breaks bi-weekly, get over it and bend over.
Are you kidding me?
I'm only on my second ever build for my first iOS app and I am literally gobsmacked at how utterly, utterly broken so many Apple things are once you get past the film of consumer gloss.
I have never been charged real money for developing software for a platform before and I've spent more time this past two days trying to get a build out to my testers than I have spent writing code.
This process is shambles and Apple should be thoroughly, thoroughly embarassed by it. Xcode sometimes failed to validate, then it validates. Then it fails to upload then it uploads ... then a build sits in "processing" for HOURS only to then fail with a frankly pointless "It Failed" message. The Application Loader is equally rubbish. That always gives me an error like "the API analysis file was too large", then it sometimes fails to upload. Pathetic.
Shocking, utterly, utterly shocking. It's laughable. £99 a year for this?? WAT? Are you honestly telling me that this is the best the richest company in the world can do??????? You telling me they cannot afford to sling some more servers at the issue?
No wonder iCloud is actually Microsoft Azure rebranded ...
This is categorically the most broken and obfuscated process I have witnessed in 25 years as a software developer.
Here, here!
Jammer you made my day. :) We share the same opinion.
I submitted another build and got it through.
🙂
Glad yours got through the fog.
I'm getting on with writing code and will try again in a few days. Nothing like an agile process eh!
Working now for me - if you want to know what I have done - nothing - looks like Apple had some problems.
Hello guys,
I'm having the same issue here. I've uploaded new builds, but to no avail. 😟
Hi,
I had the same issue. After a two month process ( I was too busy focus on fully) anyhow, After contacting Apple, they said to just keep trying with new builds.
What I did to solve was rebuild from source, in my case, Unity 3D. Rebuilding from there, two things became apparent, my Provisioning Profile had expired and I had not added in the 167x167 icon for iPad Pro.
I have solved the issue by using Application Loader to submit to iTunes Connect but always with xCode closed before submitting.
