App using themoviedb.org api was rejected for copyright violation

Hi,

I am using the themoviedb.org api to display movies information, such as images, cast information, plot overview, trailers (if applicable) and other information in my app, however, it was rejected and I am asked to verify that I have the right to those contents. However, I am pretty sure it falls under fair use, and I am only showing promotional information in the app in the first place. Anyone have any advice regarding this?

TheMovieDB.org has terms and conditions you are expected to follow if you use their API, including attribution, commercial vs. developer use, etc.

You should both make sure you're adhering to those Ts&Cs, and provide the review team with the relevant information about those Ts&Cs.

Hi Jason, I did just that but my app was still not approved citing "5. 2.2 Legal: Intellectual Property - Third Party Sites/Services" multiple times. I see so many apps already in app store that use TheMovieDB.org api and movies, but for some reason my app did not got approved.
