Hi, I have seen in the last days, that there is a significant difference between what is reported as sales in iTunes Connect Web and the iOS app. Does anyone has the same issue and what is the reason for the difference.
Different reporting iTunes Connect and iOS app
Yep. I have a big mismatch between was is reported as Sales by ITC and Appannie and what was paid for Period 7.
Yeah, I keep track of the IAP transactions on my server and the count is way different from what Apple is reporting through iTunes Connect.
Any progress on this? I can also confirm that there is a mismatch.
it's being going on like this for months! Don't trust the iOS app.
Same here. There is sometimes a 25% mismatch between reporting on iTC and the iOS app. When looking at the downloaded report files where the actual revenue is stated, it is mostly closer to the iOS app than the iTC reporting.
Wonder what the cause behind this is...
Yesterday's totals in app shows over 70,000 updates for a particular app, which only has a lifetime download total of 11,000. This is the same data shown on the web, but I know that can't be right, right?
Someone else on the forum noticed crazy numbers in iTunes Connect—only a handful of active users but several thousand crashes. 😕 What you're describing sounds like a similar problem!
Have any of you filed bugs about this?
Haven't filed a bug, because not sure what in the world is going on, if a bug, or how to file it. Never come across anything remotely like this in 6 years.
Same problem here.
Same problem here!
Please fix this Apple!
I have the same. For a specific date app shows me like 2400 downloads and the site shows me 13 downloads. Where is the correct number?...
Hi,
I can confirm that this is still an issue!
The iOS app shows about half of what the web app shows for a certain date.
I am also very confused by the numbers in both. We have (at the time of writing) a trending app, which at most was #11 in total in the US App Store, but has been #3-#5 in the utilities category in the US, Canada, UK, well...all over the world. Still, the sales reported are about 2000 - 3000 each day.
Doesn't the App Store sell more apps than this?
Hi, have you solve this problem, becouse we've the same. Do you now the reason?
Thank you
Hi, yes we're getting the same issue but the numbers are closer than what's being reported above. However the iOS app is reporting random 'spikes' that are not present in the iTunes Connect data.
Hi guys, I'm wondering actually if it's because iTunes Connect only records app units from devices running iOS 8/tvOS9 and above and that the iOS app records app units from all iOS? According to http://thenextweb.com/apple/2016/03/07/46m-iphone-users-feel-pretty-worried-right-now/ 6% of Apple device users are still running iOS 7 or below (iPhone 4 and older devices), which accounts for the 5-6% variation in figures we've reported.
