Cannot download iOS 10.1 Public Beta on new iPhone 7 Plus

I had an iPhone 6 Plus until yesterday running iOS 10.1 Public Beta 4 and backed it up to iTunes and iCloud regularly.

I just got an iPhone 7 Plus and need to update it to iOS 10.1 beta as well so I can restore from backup, but I keep getting a 10.0.3 is up to date message when I try to download and install the Public Beta. I have correctly enrolled my new 7 Plus on the beta site and downloaded the correct beta profile (deleted and re-installed several times, in fact), but it just does not see that there's a beta version out there ready to be downloaded.

Unfortunately I do not have immediate access to a Mac to try updating it to 10.1 via iTunes as suggested by many on various forums, but hope to use a friend's Mac to try it tomorrow.

In the meantime, does anyone know how to fix the OTA download issue? I see online that many others who have upgraded to iPhone 7 Plus are having similar issues.

I am experiencing the exact same issue, has anyone any suggestions, thanks

Yes I can't get it to show the update after I enroll my device (iPhone 7 Plus) and install the client. It just keeps showing me that my software is up to date. I have deleted and restarted and still nothing. I have a friend having the same problem.

Any help will be great.

I am having the same problem. However, my phone was stuck on 10.0.2 and it would not update to 10.0.3 OTA. I had to connect it to iTunes and upgrade to 10.0.3. But even after updating to 10.0.3, I am still stuck and cannot restore my phone as the last backup was 10.1. FRUSTRATING!!!

same issue here.. i'm with my iphone 7 and iOS 10.0.3.. followed the instruction provided on this site, but nothing.. it keeps sayin that my software is up to date

same here!

tried to delete and install the beta profile multiple times.

any way to download to mac and update through itunes?

Yes you can. You will need a developer account, a Mac, iTunes, Xcode 8 beta, and the ipsw file appropriate for your iPhone. You can then update/restore manually via iTunes rather than OTA. There are posts online on various forums about how to do this without a developer account, but you still need the rest (mac, iTunes, Xcode beta, and ipsw file).

Guess I'm gonna wait to 10.1 final then.

thx.

To add to the discussion, I have also deleted the beta profile and signed out of iCloud as well as Apple ID on my old iPhone (6 Plus), just in case the beta profile is seeing both devices as the same and thinking they are already up to date, but I'm still unable to download the Public Beta files on my 7 Plus and keep getting message that 10.0.3 is up to date.

The only thing I haven't tried is to completely wipe my old device and make the new device a true replacement. I doubt that would do anything, and I also don't want to do that just yet because my old iPhone is the only device with all of my data still intact.

have the same problem the beta software update not showing up on my new device.

Not only that I also have the beta running on my iPad and there it shows via a badge that an update is available but when I go to software update it doesn't show up again.

could this be an issue from apples end?

when you say you need a developer account for the update via iTunes. Does it have to be a paid developer account?

For me it works on an iphone7 but not on an iphone 7 plus. I have a paid developer account, so differnet behaviors on iphone 7 and iphone 7 plus. iphone seven plus tells me 10.3 is the actual and most updated SW where iphone 7 is actually downlaoding 10.1 beta5.

Any answer fom Apple on this issue?

where do i need to go to get the ispw?

that link is only for xcode. Where can i get the ispw file?

Also do you need to be a paid developer?
