Stuck on Preparing macOS Big Sur 11.1 Update

I'm currently running MacOS Big Sur 11.0.1 on a MacBook Pro 16in and I'm trying to update to version 11.1 but I have been stuck on "Preparing macOS Big Sur 11.1 Update..." "About 10 minutes remaining" for a few hours. I have tried restarting my MacBook Pro multiple times but I keep running into the same problem. Please help!!

I'm having the same issue. Loading the update since last evening, it still says "about 10 minutes remaining."

Same problem here on a 13 inch Intel Macbook Pro 2020. com.apple.MobileSoftwareUpdate.UpdateBrainService high on CPU all the time! Does anyone know a solution or work around?

Same here.

Looks like com.apple.MobileSoftwareUpdate.UpdateBrainService runs at over 100% CPU, until you kill it or reboot. Oh, the irony of that name!
