macOS Monterey network not working in VMWare Fusion

I installed macOS 12 in a virtual machine by upgrading from Big Sur 11.5 beta 2. Upgrade was successful and everything looks normal, except networking doesn't work; in Network preferences I can see that the VMware Ethernet adapter has a self-assigned IP. Has anyone else experienced this?

You may want to change the ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000e" to ethernet0.virtualDev = "vmxnet3" in your VMX file.

@pajp_fsc what version of VMware Fusion are you running?

I have tried making that entry in vmx file but still no internet connection. Mac OS 12 and VMWare Fusion 12

Hello, yes, the system works, but with the vmxnet3 adapter I get non stable network sockets and an upload speed of 0.27Mbps (with a download speed of almost 1000Mbps).

Am I the only one with this issue?

Thanks, Michele

I have the same problem. Changing ethernet0.virtualDev = "vmxnet3" in the VMX file did not work. Do you have any other suggestions?
