Sandbox URL for App Store Server Notification

In this session at 21:06, a new section for App Store Server Notification urls is shown with the new option to specify a Sandbox URL as well as a Production URL. Shortly after that point in the video it is mentioned that "these changes" are rolling out later this year.

My question is whether "these changes" includes this new configuration option to specify a Sandbox URL.

If so, can we get any more specific about when "later this year" is?

If not, I'm not seeing those changes now, so when will they be rolled out?

The ability to set a separate Sandbox URL for Sandbox Server Notifications is not yet available. I don't have a more specific timeframe to share yet, but please keep an eye out for more updates coming later this year.

Thank you for your response. Okay, so it's something slated for release, but not in the immediate future. I just wasn't sure if it was something that would be released in the coming days or not.

So, until then, what my team is going to do as a workaround is create a separate debug version of our app in App Store Connect (with a different bundle id) so that we can use our staging server to receive App Store Server Notifications in a non-prod environment. Is there a better approach for the time being?

That is an option. Another option is to use the environment field in each server notification to implement custom behavior for Sandbox notifications. This could include passing the notification information to a separate server.

The ability to set a separate Sandbox URL for App Store Server Notification is available now.
