Unable to approve Ask to Buy requests.

My son sent me a request to download an app, however despite receiving the notification, I am unable to click it to approve it. The only thing that has changed since the last approved request is the newest BETA (iOS 16.2 (20C5043e) update. I have restarted my phone and retried sending the request from my son’s phone multiple times. The notification appears, but there is no resulting action when tapping it.

Hi there,

You might have better luck asking this question over in Apple Support Communities run by Apple Support.

Sunny_Apple,

I did have it posted there initially, but was directed here because I have the BETA iOS.

Only been a couple days..but did you find out? I have exact same issue, get ask to buy notifs, but the only option is to clear, i cant accept, it was working fine on dev beta 1, but since db2, its broken…i never got an answer either from apple…i did notice though on my 13mini, that if you go to settings>appleid>family sharing>family checklist, it crashes back to home screen, never did that before, my girlfriend whos got a i12 on 16.1.1 everything works prefectly…i gotta feeling its either 16.2 or somethings conflicting somehow between appleid/family settings/ios 16.2…id love to know what the fix is, pointless having a feature to protect ya kids, when it doesnt even work properly, tbh id expect more from a feature thats been around a while already, on an OS thats been going for 15+ years, seems ios is just becoming bloatware these days
