Hello
I created HTML5 games and I would like to have them on the iOS App Store.
However, I checked the guidelines and I have doubts about one point : « not offer digital goods or services for sale. » https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#third-party-software
Does this include offering to buy bonus content even if it happens outside of the game itself ?
See, my games are free to play, no ad, but they offer to buy access to bonus content like additionnal levels, multiplayer mode and level editor. Call it freemium or shareware.
The purchase and payment do not happen in the game though, the game opens the webbrowser, and there the player accesses my website and paypal. Also, this is supposed to be an important detail : that bonus content is not exclusive to the device or to iOS, once it was bought that bonus content can also be used in the same game running on Android, Windows, MacOS and Linux too.
So, is this allowed on the iOS App Store or not ? I don't want to waste my time and $99 trying to get my games on the App Store if they are sure to be refused.
Here are some of my games as example : https://dom83.xyz/games/treasures_and_dynamite/ - https://dom83.xyz/games/8bit_pocket_wrestlers/ - https://dom83.xyz/games/qui_mange_qui/) - https://dom83.xyz/games/sweets_breakout/
Thank you.
