Broken WebGL2 on iOS Safari 17.0.2

Hello,

looks like the latest Safari update broke WebGL2 support.

You can reproduce by updating to iOS 17.0.2 and visit https://get.webgl.org/webgl2/ with Safari.

I've reproduced using an iPhone 11 MWM32QL/A

Thanks, Luca

Hi, looks like that the issue has disappeared. IDK if is possible that iOS receives fixes without an update. Maybe was something else presente only on the device I was using for the test?

I'm marking this reply as the answer.

Meanwhile I'm investigating on how to reproduce with less code as possible a huge slowdown that occurs only in private mode.

Hi, looks like the issue occurs only on iPhone 11.

Is this forum the right place to address this issue?

Thanks, Luca
