How to deploy Safari Extension using Jamf without end-user interaction?

Hey, Is it possible to automatic install AppStore extension on Mac clients without interaction from the user? We have a lot of users who don't have an Apple ID. And as we have quite a lot of freelancers and temporary workers we mostly have users without an Apple ID and find it not making sense for these users to create an ID.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi,

It currently isn't possible to manage extensions via MDM. Are these freelancers and temporary workers using their own equipment or devices your organization provides? Can you please file feedback at http://feedbackassistant.apple.com with as much detail for your use case as possible and share the feedback ID here?

  • Some of them use their own, and others with the organization's laptops. Here is the feedback as you asked #13517053.Someone told me their is a way to use Safari Application Extension (not web extension) which has similar capabilities and can be pushed to Safari without App Store. What does he mean here?

    Thanks.

The user still needs to enable the extension within the browser itself.

After the Safari extension gets installed, is there way to silently enable the extension within Safari?
