Xcode Cloud won't load from Xcode or App Store Connect

I am setting up a new app and am having problems with Xcode Cloud. From Xcode if I click on the "Cloud" button under the Report Navigator I get a spinner for a long time then get the message "Could not load Xcode Cloud data". I also visited the "Xcode Cloud" tab under my app in App Store Connect and I get a spinner and nothing loads.

This is a recent account and I'm setting up Xcode Cloud for the first time. Below is what I've tried and I'm out of ideas on how to get this working.

  • In Xcode, I signed out and back in as the Account Holder
  • Closed Xcode and reopened
  • This occurred yesterday and today and have not seen a problem under the Apple System Status page
  • On the latest Xcode 16.2
  • Checked the Signing & Capabilities tab in Xcode and my team a bundle Id is correct and it's happy with signing. At this time on my machine I am using the distribution profile.

Please check that you met all the requirements described in Requirements for using Xcode Cloud article.

I believe I am meeting requirements. I am using GitHub. and have even tried re-cloning my repo from Xcode. I also tried disabling the the Apple's firewall in System settings. I tried on my personal network and also tried from a cell hotspot. Don't think a firewall is the issue. In documentation under the cloud tab I see that users have this "Get Started" option (see screenshot). I don't think I've ever seen this. In this section when I visit the cloud tab it just says "Loading Products" then eventually times out and says "Could not load Xcode Cloud data"

I do have the same issue. I was using XCode Cloud for my app with no issues until this week, when I transferred my app to a new "empty" company developer account.

I'm trying to enable XCode Cloud again but I do get a spinner on AppStore Connect > Apps > My App > Xcode Cloud. When inspecting the requests of the website, I can see an API failing with a 500 error so I assume it's just an API failing for some reason and Apple are aware about it.

500
Internal Server Error
https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/ci/api/teams/123123-123123-123123-123123

On the XCode app, the "Create Workflow" option is disabled so I assume it's related to above issue with the API?

I pinged support two days ago but haven't heard back from them yet - will let you know if I figure things out.

With more experimentation if I log out of my developer account in Xcode settings then I see the "Get Started" button in the screen shot. However once I log into my developer account I have the problem. Thanks for the feedback since this was my first time messing I spent a stupid amount of time trying to work through it.

Hi, have you figured out the solution? I have exactly the same issue, not sure if it is because I'm using the same Apple ID in 2 different Apple Developer Accounts.

We have the same problem. the AppstoreConnect Xcode Cloud show the below error message.

The issue is still there for me—I’ve tried so many different things but haven’t had any luck yet. The API keeps returning a 500 error.

Something else that I did find out is that it looks like this is an issue at the account level and not at the app level as I am getting the same error when I go to "AppStore Connect > Users and Access > Xcode Cloud". The loading spinner doesn't stop as the requests to the same endpoint as failing with a 500 error.

It looks like this has been resolved

Hi, We need some more diagnostics to be able to help resolve this issue. Could you please file a feedback request for this and I will looking into it right away? You can file Xcode Cloud specific feedback using these steps. Thanks

Indeed, as @RayWha mentioned, this issues has been sorted - it looks like the API is not returning a 500 anymore and I was able to access XCode Cloud successfully from both AppStore Connect and the XCode app.
