I have updated my MacBook Pro to the new developer beta and it has become extremely slow. Something as simple as opening Safari makes the fan turn on full speed. Any suggestions?
High Sierra Unbearably Slow
I have same configuration and exact same issues.
Same for me. MacMini processor 2,7 GHz Intel i7, Memory 40 Go 1333MHz DDR3, HD Sata 500 Go.
To be able to read a message Mail takes about 8 mn !
Frequent problems with the mouse too...
It still slow for me without external monitor. Macbook pro 15" early 2013.
I second that. It's just unbelievable how could Apple release this "free upgrade". I was stupid enough to not resist the temptation and install it. I blame Apple nagging through App Store application for that.
I have an Early 2011 13-inch MacBook Pro w/ 16 GB Ram that also became extremely slow after upgrading to High Sierra. I was able to greatly improve performance via the following steps:
- Click Apple icon in upper left -> System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Login Items
- Delete anything that you don't need to run at start. For me, it was the iTunes helper (I haven't used iTunes in years)
