iOS 11 Beta: iPad Pro Logitech Keyboard Update Annoyance

I have an iPad Pro 12.9" with a Logitech CREATE keyboard case, which uses the smart connector, not bluetooth.

For a while now, I have gotten intermittent "Accessory Update Available" messages, mostly when inadvertently breaking the connection momentarily.

It doesn't actually seem like this message is correct, because whether I press "Later" or "Update", nothing ever happens.

As I said, prior to upgrading to the iOS 11 Beta, this was a rare occurrence. Since the update, this message is triggered much, much more often. The main problem this creates is that one app I use, Marvel's Contest of Champions, does not handle being backgrounded very well, even if only momentarily for a modal dialog such as this one.

Does anybody know how I can either:

1) Actually install the update (if one even exists), or

2) Tell iOS to ignore any updates for this accessory?

I have two iPad Pro 9.7s and also one 10.5. I did see the constant “need upgrade” message on the 9.7 with my Logitech CREATE keyboard as soon as I upgraded to iOS11 beta, but the keyboard was at least usable, I haven’t upgraded my second 9.7 to iOS11 yet.

For my 10.5, i have the Logitect SLIM Combo and as soon as I got my 10.5, I upgraded it to iOS11. Then the problems started. I very often have to reboot my iPad to get the keyboard to work. Since I have the 9.7 that I haven upgraded i have test connecting the 10.5 keyboard to the 9.7 and while it is not working on the 10.5 it works without any issue. I have also plugged the knowingly working 9.7 keyboard on the 10.5 just to confirm that it won’t work.

IM pretty sure this is not a Logitech issue, since three different keyboards will always work on my 9.7 but once I start having the issue with the keyboard on my 10.5 non of the keyboards will work.

Apple, your help Will be appreciated as I have been seen this issue for the last 3 o 4 beta versions.

Hello It has been a couple of days since I installed the iOS 11 beta 6 and after a reboot of my iPad with the Logitech Slim Combo attached to the smart connector, it has been working a lot better. I actually don’t recall seeing the issue after that. I have tested with removing the keyboard, reattaching etc.

I had the same problem. It seems to be fixed in the latest beta, though.

my iPad Pro 9.7 stopped recognizing my logic Create keyboard all together. Completely dead.

I`m having the same problem but in an IPad 9,7 with the IOS 10.3.3...

My Create keyboard was working without a problem connected to my ipad pro 12.9", until the latest ios update (11.2.6). Now I get a message saying "This accessory is not supported by this device." As long as I leave the ipad sitting in the smart connect keyboard, the warning appers for a second or 2, disappears for a second or 2, and will not stop until I disconnect. I contacted Logitech, and all they wanted to tell me was that the keyboard was out of warranty. I went to an apple store and the rep there INSISTED that the smart connector uses bluetooth, and that I should have the ipad "forget" the keyboard. Only the smart connector DOESN'T use bluetooth, according to everything that I've read, and I can't "forget" the keyboard because it doesn't show up under bluetooth. The apple store guy said if that didn't work, the only think he could do would be to give me a 10% discount on a new keyboard. That's wonderful, but if it's a compatability problem, why would he think a new Create keyboard is going to work?
