So for the first time today I used iOS11 in my car for CarPlay and WOW!! It is a mess....what I think I figured out is that maps for navigation causes it cause when I stopped using that it got better...not great but better. Maps for CarPlay is a disaster...I know they are working to improve it but it doesn’t even give directions on the CarPlay screen And the directions tha show on the phone do not update as you reach that point. 3rd party media apps (Spotify in my case) are also extremely unstable. I know it is a beta so I hope this is an area of focus for them!

i got an Opel (Vauxhall) Corsa 2017 with IntelliLink 4 Infotainment System with carPlay and Android Auto. Got an Iphone 6 IOS 11.0.1 . while is connected to the car the display works fine. messages contacts everything looks fine. But the MAPS cant locate me anymore (with iOS 10.3.3 was perfect) and not respond normaly. solutions is DOWNGRADE?

Thanks for sharing. I own a 2017 Honda Civic Touring and same issues.. Definitely don't need to hear the people that don't have issues as their likely Apple employees or unempathic towards the reality of the bugs. Interestingly their are just a handful of audio manufacturers and many makes of vehicles user the same system. By the way I just plugged in to a Delta Power outlet and now receiving a device not supported prompt and battery is not charging. I flew Delta two days ago on several aircraft and charged fine. I would recommend that you return to ios 10.3 and you'll at least know what to expect. Apple shame on you for rolling out an update without testing the most commonly used features that your tech geeks like myself use.
I had USB connection issues in my car after updating to ios11. I could not connect at all period with my USB connection. So I restored to an older iOS version and it is working again with no issues. It is an iOS 11 issue not an issue with the make of vehicles. Apple needs to fix this!
Since ios 11 my car don't play music with usb cable, my car show "loading error";
Apple care said it's manufacturer fault;
Hyundai said their stereo is correctly programmed, it's ios 11 full of issue;
So frustrating;
Ios 11.0.3 didn't solve the issue;
No problem by reproducing spotify or google play, but im with apple music, and i can't use it;Im with iphone SE downgraded to 10.3.3, and i can't buy iphone 8 before this get fixed (if will get fixed)
