App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 10 days (Submitted Aug 13)

Hi all,

My app has been stuck in the "Waiting for Review" status since August 13 (US Time), and today is August 23. It has been 10 days without any status updates or messages from the App Review team.

App ID: 6800282515

Submission Date: Aug 13, 2026

Developer Support Request Submitted: Aug 19 (No response yet)

Expedited Review Requested: Aug 20 (No response yet)

Current Status: Waiting for Review

Since both support inquiries and expedited requests haven't received a reply after several days, I am concerned there might be an internal system hold or communication breakdown regarding this submission.

Could someone from Apple please look into this or advise if any additional documentation/action is needed from my side?

Thanks for your help!

Help! I haven't received a response to my expedited request or Apple Support ticket. If I speak with someone by phone, can I find out if my review queue is proceeding normally?

Fortunately, the app finally entered the review process, although it was immediately rejected. The feedback stated: "No 'age verification' mechanism was found in the app." In reality, the app did include a KYC (Know Your Customer) verification module—which is why we had selected the "age verification" option during the initial submission. However, since the KYC module was primarily for compliance purposes, we changed the setting to "no age verification mechanism" as requested and resubmitted the app. That covers the specifics of the review process. For your reference, here is the timeline of the actions we took:

  1. August 13 (Pacific Time): Submitted the app for review.
  2. August 19: Submitted a Developer Support ticket.
  3. August 20: Requested an expedited review.
  4. August 23: Followed up on the Developer Support ticket.
  5. August 23: Posted on the developer forums asking for help.
  6. August 24: Replied to the forum post, asking Apple to confirm if the review queue was functioning correctly.
  7. August 25 (7:51 AM): Received a reply from the Developer Support team stating that our review queue was normal.
  8. August 25 (7:12 PM): Received the app rejection notice.

I am not sure exactly which step made the difference, or if the app simply reached the front of the review queue. However, if you are facing a long wait, I recommend taking these measures: submit a Developer Support ticket, request an expedited review, and seek help on the forums. That concludes my experience; I look forward to Apple moving the review process forward and will keep everyone updated on the progress.

It’s unfortunate. My app was rejected on August 25 at 7:12 PM (Pacific Time); although I resubmitted it, 48 hours have passed, yet the status remains stuck on "Waiting for Review."

The email I received from the Developer Support team on August 25 at 7:51 AM (Pacific Time) stated the following: "If you have responded to the app review team after a rejection, please allow 48 hours for a response and contact us if you do not receive one. "

Based on the feedback in that email, I replied to the Developer Support team to request an expedited review once again.

That is all I can do for now; I just hope my app enters the review process as soon as possible.

Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly!

Celebratory, at 3:06 PM Pacific Time on August 28, 2026, we received a review update for our app. Although it was rejected again, the review process took only two days. Cheers!

The rejection was primarily due to a request for details regarding the app's business model, specifically requiring explanations of the launch regions and business licenses, as well as the submission of relevant documentation and KYC policies.

For context: our app facilitates digital asset trading; we have already secured the necessary licenses and implemented appropriate KYC procedures.

At 00:23 AM Pacific Time on August 31, 2026, we responded to the inquiries and submitted a PDF attachment containing our official statement, licensing details, and an outline of our KYC process.

Subsequently, we updated the review notes to include information on launch regions and business licenses, refreshed the PDF attachment, and resubmitted the app for review.

Fingers crossed that our app moves to the next stage of review soon.

We received an email regarding "App Review Feedback" at 7:12 PM Pacific Time on August 25, stating: "After you do, we'll typically respond within 48 hours, unless your app requires extra attention."

We subsequently resubmitted the app for review in the early hours of the 31st; although more than 48 hours have passed since then, the review process has not actually begun.

I am really chapfallen right now.

We have already replied to the developer support ticket and requested an expedited review, hoping to convey to the app review team just how urgent it is for us to get the app.

This is the only method I know of to speed things up. Does anyone know of any other ways to accelerate the app review process?

If so, please share them with me—thank you very much! Hoping for the best.

Do you think the review team is small and perhaps work from home?

Google reviews are a lot quicker than Apple. Additionally, wish Apple reviews were more in depth as to what and why things failed.

Many people's submissions are taking much longer, both in "waiting for review" and "in review" stages. Reports of multi-week waits are not uncommon. And those are for standard spam astrology dating apps.

It seems logical that a "digital asset trading" with age verification concerns is going to take more time to review. And you've already had multiple rejections. I'm afraid it's not looking good.

Accepted Answer

We are pleased to announce that our app has passed review and is now officially live. Here are some insights we believe are worth sharing:

  1. Carefully study the feedback from the review team, adjust your app or App Store Connect settings to address the issues raised, verify the fixes, reply to the review team, and resubmit the app for review;
  2. If your app remains in "Waiting for Review" status for an extended period, you can try contacting the Developer Support team via a support ticket to request an expedited review, or seek assistance on the developer forums.

That concludes this post; the information above is shared for reference purposes only.
