Hello Apple App Review Team,

We are requesting assistance with our first submission of Local & Traveler – iOS 1.0.0, which has remained in Waiting for Review for more than 48 hours without entering In Review.

We have already submitted an Expedited App Review Request and contacted Apple Developer Support regarding the review status.

This delay is now directly affecting our coordinated commercial launch, including marketing activities, local onboarding, partner coordination, and operational rollout.

Our pilot launch covers Paris, Barcelona and Rome, with additional cities planned afterwards.

Could someone from the App Review team please check whether our submission is progressing normally and, if possible, help escalate it to the appropriate review team?

Same boat, only worse. We submitted on 14 August — 15 days ago. We got rejected on the 22nd, fixed all four points the same night, and the resubmission has now been sitting in Waiting for Review for 7 days without anyone opening it. For what it's worth, we tried everything you did and none of it moved the needle: expedited review (confirmed, then nothing), a support case (six days for a reply saying "the review is proceeding normally"), a follow-up on that case (no answer, four days now), and an App Review appointment (declined). We have a global launch on 1 September. At this point we're almost certainly shipping without iOS and postponing it, with everything that implies — marketing, users we've told, the lot. Not great. So I don't have a fix for you, sorry. Just so you know 48 hours is not the ceiling and you probably shouldn't burn your expedite yet if you might need it later. Something broke around the 8 August maintenance and a lot of us have been stuck since.

Thank you for sharing this. It strongly suggests that this is not an isolated case and that there may be a wider review queue issue following the August maintenance period.

Our app is also tied to a commercial launch, and the prolonged “Waiting for Review” status is now affecting marketing, operations and users who are already expecting access.

If an Apple representative sees this thread, we would appreciate confirmation on whether there is currently a broader App Review delay and whether affected submissions are being actively prioritized. Even a realistic timeline would help us manage our launch responsibly.

Something broke around the 8 August maintenance and a lot of us have been stuck since.

The forums were taken over by these posts many months before that, in early 2026.
