Approved update stuck in Ready for Distribution for 3+ days, store still serves previous version

App: Toneli: AI Photo & Art Editor (Apple ID 6798006355) Version: 1.0.5 (build 35)

  • Approved and moved to Ready for Distribution on 13 Oct 2026 at 16:18 UTC (19:18 TRT).
  • Release option: automatically release this version. Phased release: off.
  • More than 3 days later, every storefront we checked (US, TR, GB, DE, JP, BR) still serves 1.0.4, both on the App Store page and in the iTunes lookup API. The previous update, 1.0.4, went live within a minute of its approval.
  • Availability: 174 of 175 territories. Agreements, tax and banking are all Active (the updated Paid Applications Agreement was accepted on 14 Oct).
  • The build is Valid and all screenshots finished processing.
  • One open item: the preview frame of the header video in our Asset Library has stayed in "Processing" since 13 Oct 16:18 UTC, the same second the version became Ready for Distribution. The video itself is Approved. Could this be holding the release?
  • Developer Support case 102997851070 was opened on 16 Oct (TRT); no reply yet.

Could someone from Apple check whether the 1.0.5 release is stuck and re-trigger its distribution? Thank you.

Yes, we encountered the same issue and found it might be related. You can check this thread: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/850858

If it's urgent to release this new version (e.g., for bug fixes), as a temporary solution found by others, you can remove those videos with "Poster Frame Processing" status, and the new version will be available on the App Store soon.

Or you can wait for Apple Support to handle those assets stuck in "Poster Frame Processing". It might take some time to get a reply, though.
