I submitted the first version of my iOS app, and it stayed in “Waiting for Review” for approximately seven days without moving to “In Review.”
During that time, I submitted two expedited review requests. I also spent about three hours on hold trying to reach Apple by phone, but never got to speak with anyone.
I have now resubmitted the app after changing only the screenshots, and I’m concerned that I may have restarted the wait and made the delay even longer.
Has anyone experienced a similar delay recently? Is there a way to check whether something is blocking the submission, or whether it is simply still in the queue? Does resubmitting place the app at the back of the queue, and what is the best way to get an update from App Review at this point?
This has been frustrating, especially without a clear explanation of what is happening. Any guidance on the right next step would be appreciated. Thank you.
