Hello,
Our first iOS app has been in "Waiting for Review" for over 12 days and the review has not started. I'd like to check whether there is anything else we can do, or anything on the account that could be holding it.
App: KeySpot by RK Keys (Apple ID 6820443560), iOS 1.0, build 1.0.0 (12), a shopping app for a car key and locksmith-supplies store in India.
Timeline
- Submitted for review: 13/14 October.
- 16 October, 10:40 AM: App Review sent a Guideline 2.1 "Information Needed - New App Submission" message (limited review history). This was a request for information, not a rejection.
- 16 October, 11:59 AM: we replied in App Store Connect with a screen recording from a physical iPhone and written answers to all six points, and added the same information to the App Review Notes. The submission shows 12:03 PM.
- Since then the status has been "Waiting for Review". No new messages from Apple.
- 21 October: we sent a status inquiry through Contact Us > App Review Status (case ID 103003818772), and added a follow-up to the same case on 28 October. No reply so far.
- 22 October: we requested an expedited review. The confirmation page said "We'll expedite review for KeySpot by RK Keys". Nothing has changed since.
- Phone support shows as unavailable due to high call volumes.
What we have already checked
- The demo account in the Review Notes is approved and working, and the server is up.
- Business > Agreements shows only the optional EU trader (DSA) notice and the Paid Apps agreement note. There is nothing waiting for us to accept.
- We have not cancelled or resubmitted, so we don't lose our place.
Questions
- Is there an account-level check or hold that could be delaying a review like this one? Is there anywhere in App Store Connect or the developer account where it would be visible?
- Is there anything more we should provide to App Review?
- For others who had the same pattern (accepted expedite, long "Waiting for Review"), did anything specific move it forward?
Thank you. I'll update this thread with the outcome so it may help others.
