Previously, hidden photos have been hidden only from collection. If i hide photo and add it to special alboom i can sow it by look in this special album. I have two different type of photo, whitch i whant to hide from colection but i like look on it separately. Now, in new iOS 11 this not working. If photo is hidden i can saw it only in hidden folder. It is unusable. And also photo count ih folders count this hiden photos. So i have two empty folders with non zero count of includet photos.
Hidden photos will not show in albums.
It is also an issue for me! I want to organize my hidden photos into albums and how can I do that, Apple??
I 100% agree with this, it is incredibly annoying to not be able to hide photos from the “recents” but still see them in the album.
Apple, why not a middle ground. Keep the feature working as it does now. BUT make 2 changes;
You should have the option to require pin, touchID, or faceID, to open the hidden album (don’t know why you didn’t do this already).Any albums that contain hidden photos automatically become protected by #1. This way you can still hide the photos from recents, and you can still view them in an album, and it’s all secure.seems kind of obvious to me. The current way sucks right now.
I don’t want to tag and organize most of my photos. I do want to tag and organize a few and keep them separate from the untagged ones. Is there any way to do this? Maybe a default album for anything they doesn’t appear in a different one?
The change in the hidden photos folder means that now when trying to attach a photo in Facebook, Tumblr or some other app, the hidden photos folder is no longer available in the list of folders to pick from. In order to attach a hidden photo, you have to unhide it first. The problem is with the way Apple has changed the Recents folder to be inconsistent with the way people use it. I want recents to be just that, recents that I have not sorted into a folder - be it an album or hidden. I don't sort photos as soon as I take them. I used to use hidden to make the recents album smaller, but now the hidden feature is basically unusable.
This has to change!
I thought there is another "Archive" function for this. What is the point to hide this? if toggle off "hidden album" would never "unhide" the photos, this option is quite pointless. I only view "All Photos" most of the time, I believe I am not alone in this.
Also, Why is "Unhide" function not present in Contextual menu when selecting only one photo? I can select the hidden photo and expand the contextual menu ONLY WHEN I am at the "Hidden Album" screen, right? What is the point to make it so secretive/only accessible by lower right 3 dot button if the user already aware that he is in the screen? It makes no sense at all.
+1 Should be able to hide photos in respective albums. Also, should be able to hide an entire album.
