Hello,
I just purchased today an iPhone X and sold my 7plus which was running the 11.2 beta.
I updated through iTunes the iPhone X to 11.1. However now when i try to restore it iTunes displays this message "Itunes could not restore the iPhone "iPhone" because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored".
How can I manage to restore it as my iPhone backup contains important things?

You have to wait until Apple drops iOS 11.2 beta for the X. After that -> Install the beta profile -> Update the X to 11.2 beta -> Now you are able to restore your Backup :) I have exact the same situation ^^ greetings
I have the same issue here. I hope Apple is going to release the 11.2 Beta ASAP.
Snap. Managed to get onto 11.1 but obviously no use for restoring my backup...

+1 backed up my iphone 6 last night, picked up my x this morning but am stuck on 11.1 with no way to restore last night's back up.
+1 Same boat. C’mon Apple. I’m sure you guys are hard at work, but this is hurting your most ardent supports most directly.
Same thing, I tried to inquire with Apple help line but only got incompetent answers, @Apple: when can the beta for iphone X be expected? This is a great disappointment!

I called also. Got Nathan. He was very knowledgeable and confirmed with his team that the X does not yet support 11.2. They are working on it and aware of it. He said nearly every call he had in the last hour was for exactly the issue we have. I didn’t give him a hard time, he’s doing his job but Apple as a whole did drop the ball b this one.
Apple please release the 11.2 beta for iPhone X!
