I have an issue on Apple accessibility audit, the text is truncated but can't see the issue in accessibility inspector app
How can I fix the truncated text issue reported by the Apple Accessibility Inspector? AssistiveTouch pointer cannot move past center of screen in landscape orientation on iPhone
Hello everyone, I’d like to report an issue I’ve encountered when using a Bluetooth mouse together with AssistiveTouch on iPhone running iOS 16.5. This has also been reported via Feedback Assistant with Feedback ID: FB17806167 Description: When using a Bluetooth mouse together with AssistiveTouch on iPhone (iOS), the pointer behaves incorrectly in landscape orientation. Specifically: The pointer cannot move past the center of the screen Horizontal and vertical (X/Y) movements appear to be swapped or misaligned Natural movement of the pointer is not possible It seems as if the internal coordinate mapping remains locked in portrait orientation, even when the device is physically rotated to landscape. This issue occurs system-wide, regardless of the current app. It is observable in Settings, on the Home screen, and in third-party apps. Steps to Reproduce: Enable AssistiveTouch Connect a Bluetooth mouse to the iPhone Rotate the device to landscape orientation Try moving the mouse pointer across the screen → Notice that: Pointer cannot move past the center Horizontal/vertical input is interpreted incorrectly (as if still in portrait) Expected Behavior: The mouse pointer should move across the entire screen correctly, regardless of device orientation. Actual Behavior: In landscape orientation, the pointer is either restricted to part of the screen or misaligned. It behaves as if the device is still in portrait. Horizontal mouse movement causes vertical pointer movement, and vice versa User experience feels broken and unintuitive Feature Suggestion: Please improve the synchronization between physical device orientation and AssistiveTouch pointer mapping on iOS. I also suggest exposing AssistiveTouch orientation control via a public API, so developers can help maintain consistent pointer behavior. Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions. xcstrings file in not being updated
I'm using Xcode 15.2 and have migrated my (macOS) project to use an xcstrings file a while back. Now when I check the xcstrings file, all items are marked as "stale". When I add new localized strings in code, they don't show up in the xcstrings file. The xcstrings file is built correctly (into .lproj/Localizable.strings) when building. Where can I check which source files are checked to update xcstrings status? "xcstringstool" appears to have a "sync" feature which reads "stringsdata" files, but there is no information in the xcstringstool help on where the stringsdata files come from. If I create a new project I can see a "stringsdata" file being generated for each source file in the intermediate build products folder.

Is there any way to make user forced update?
Hi I'm planning to make macos App and distribute to MacOS App Store. The question is should i make force update when update is needed. The reason why I want to make this feature is I don't want to make user use previous version of app. My plan is like this. when app needed update, make user reach special page that describe why update is needed and set a button that can download new version of app. the download will be automatically doing at background don't need to visit app store. I search several forums and gpt but there is no positive reply of this.. so finally i make a post to know is there no way to make this. Thank you!

AVPlayer Visual Accessibility Issues
AVPlayer has 3 visual accessibility issues with videos out of the box: The contrast fails for the current time in the video The contrast fails for the remaining time in the video The hit area is too small for the time slider. The WCAG AA requirement is a minimum hit size of 24 x 24. The height of the hit area of the offending region is 8. Is there a known fix for any of these? German VoiceOver says "millibars" instead of "megabytes"
In SwiftUI, iOS 18.1.1, Xcode 16.1, the following control: Text(12345678, format: .byteCount(style: .binary)) displays text with MB (megabytes) unit, but German VoiceOver reads it as "millibars". I tried explicitly specify units with: Text(12345678, format: .byteCount(style: .memory, allowedUnits: .mb)) but the result is the same (German VoiceOver still says "millibars"). Aside from creating own accessibility label, is there any way to go around that?

Crash when changing the accessibilityElements to custom UIAccessibilityElement
I got a UIControl, and I want to make it behavior like a custom UIAccessibilityElement. UIControl *control = [[UIControl alloc] init]; control.isAccessibilityElement = NO; CustomAccessibilityElement *elem = [[CustomAccessibilityElement alloc] initWithAccessibilityContainer:control]; elem.isAccessibilityElement = YES; // some custom setting here control.accessibilityElements = @[elem]; It worked well with an iPhone 13, iOS 15.5.1, but crashed with an iPhone SE, iOS 15.4.1 and the crash msg is : "-[UIAccessibilityElement _addAccessibilityElementsAndOrderedContainersWithOptions:toCollection:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x283b7c680" Can you tell me the reason ? Too small font in Notes app
Dear developer team, After updating to iOS 18.3.1 I noticed the font in the Notes app became too small to read comfortably, and I have already got poor eyesight. There is no way to increase the font size. When I select my preferred text size through Accessibility settings, it only changes the size of headings in the Notes app but the text remains too small in the note itself. I’m using the IPhone 13. I googled the issue and seems like other users across the Internet are also unhappy about the lack of ability to change the text size in Notes to suit their comfortable levels. I hope that this issue will be addressed by developers in the next version of the iOS because the reading size in the standard app can affect health for the tired and diminished eyesight. Text Replacement preferences are not exportabe, is there a PLIST file or similar that stores these values?
macOS > Settings > Keyboard > Text Replacement is a macOS/iOS feature I use extensively but it is unavailable in quite a few macOS applications — including some Apple apps like Xcode. Other apps I want Text Replacement to work in but it doesn't are the Adobe CC suite, all my code text editors like VC Studio, Sublime Text, BBEdit, emacs etc and Firefox. Does anybody know what the file path is for the file that stores the Text Replacement key/string pair data? If i can access the .plist file or similar where the Text Replacement key/string pairs are stored I will be able to convert to JSON using REGEX and import to the Firefox plugin that will replicate Text Replacement functionality in Firefox for me. Ditto other code editor applications with their own particular text substitution functionality. Background Some of these apps have plugins or functional equivalents of Text Replacement but i need a way to do the import/export dance to keep them in sync with my Text Replacement text pairs. Sadly, even though we can select the Text Replacement table (in macOS but not in iOS versions), we can't copy that information. This seems to me a violation of good GUI design principles. Why allow selection of the entire table if we cannot copy it to the clipboard? Nor can we import or export the table of text tuples. The Text Replacement GUI has no buttons to do this (consider this post also a FR for that). Screen-capturing and running text recognition software over the PNG it is not an option given: a) all the UTF-16 unusual glyphs and combination glyphs i use; b) that I'd like to script this as a multi-directional syncing application I can run periodically. Typically macOS and app preferences are stored in plist files. I want to find such a file and convert it to JSON for importing into a Firefox plugin that replicates Text Replacement within Firefox. I tried modifying Text Replacements by adding a new item to the list and clicking "Done" and then filtering ~/Library for .plist files and sorting by "Date Modified" but nothing is showing up with these values in it.

The camera preview screen cannot be previewed in full screen
I downloaded the official camera sample code(https://developer.apple.com/tutorials/sample-apps/capturingphotos-camerapreview )it's a .swiftpm package and created a SwiftUI project. I copied the official sample code into this new project, build it, and ran it on an iPhone 13 for testing. I found that there were black empty areas on the top and bottom of the application interface, which means that the application interface cannot be previewed in full screen. I have tried many methods but cannot preview in full screen. How can I modify the code?

VisionOS - Gamepad steals focus
I am developing a vision os app for controlling an underwater ROV. I have ornaments with telemetry and buttons around a central video view feed. I have custom buttons mappings, such as "A" for locking the depth of the drone. However, when I look at buttons or certain ornaments, my custom gamepad logic is kept from running. This means that when a SwiftUI Button gains focus on visionOS, pressing the controller’s A button triggers the system’s default “click” on that Button rather than my custom buttonA handler. Essentially, focus interception by the system is stealing my A-press events and preventing my custom gamepad logic from running. Is there a way to disable the built in gamepad interaction and only allow my custom gamepad mappings?
