Issues with certificates, profiles etc. especially for distribution and developer ID distribution
I keep having issues with my account. I have certificates that will not revoke. I create new certificates, then I create new profiles for development, distribution and for developer ID application distribution outside of the app store as well. With my app in Xcode, I can only get the Developer profile to work to allow builds. My distribution profile builds and then fails, with an error 5. The Developer ID Application profile will not even accept the profile in XCode, sighting that there is no code signing, yet I have checked things over and over again. Ontop of this, I had developers in the past in my team and they added a whole lot of certificates for Developer ID that I just cannot use now. I also cannot revoke them. I have no active apps on the app store now, so I was wondering if Apple or someone can assist me in removing ALL the certificates, all the profiles and get a clean slate, so that I can setup everything from scratch again, because I have lost countless of hours getting nowhere and I cannot get Apple support to assist? Anyone been through this before?

Unnotarized Developer ID
I'm new to notarizing applications. I'm building an Electron application using electron-packager. The signing looks solid: codesign -vvv --deep --strict path/to/app.app # satisfies its Designated Requirement But checking notarization, looks like it didn't work. spctl --assess -vv path/to/app.app # source=Unnotarized Developer ID # origin=Developer ID Application: Tyson XXXX (XXXXX) I'm wondering how to fix the "Unnotarized Developer ID". Thanks!

Code-signing and Notarization Accepted, but Stapler Fails with Error 65
Hello Apple Developer Community, I’m encountering an issue where my macOS app (signed with a valid ‘Developer ID Application’ certificate and accepted by Apple’s notary service) fails when I attempt to staple the notarization ticket. The Apple notary service reports ‘Accepted’ each time, but xcrun stapler staple always returns Error 65, with the local check (spctl -a -vvv) showing ‘Unnotarized Developer ID.’ Here are some key points: Certificate: I have a valid ‘Developer ID Application’ certificate (unexpired) in my login and system keychains, with Apple’s intermediate certificates also installed and set to System Defaults or Always Trust. Notarization: Regardless of whether I submit a .zip of the .app or the final .dmg for notarization, notarytool reports ‘Accepted.’ Stapling: xcrun stapler staple (or notarytool staple) on the exact file I uploaded fails with Error 65, claiming it can’t validate the downloaded ticket. Environment Checks: Checked for duplicate or outdated certificates—only one Developer ID remains. Repeated on multiple code-signed builds (both .app and .dmg) with the same result. Manually tested code-signing the .app with entitlements (for the hardened runtime) and then signing the .dmg without entitlements. Logs: The relevant excerpt from stapler indicates “Could not validate ticket for [app]. The staple and validate action failed! Error 65,” even though Apple’s notary service claims success. Could you please advise any additional troubleshooting steps or possible causes for local validation failure after a successful notarization? I’ve already ensured the environment is up to date with valid intermediates, only one Developer ID certificate. Mac catalyst stuck at notarize
I have created a Mac Catalyst version of the same app, and it was transferred from an old account to a new one. However, the Mac Catalyst build has been stuck in progress for several days when attempting to notarize it. After many days, I got the rejection with the following error: Team is not yet configured for notarization. Please contact Developer Programs Support at developer.apple.com under the topic Development and Technical / Other Development or Technical Questions. I have already tried to create a new developer ID certificate, but it still has the same issue. On the other hand, the iOS app is working fine and has been published in the App Store. Could you please assist us in resolving this issue as quickly as possible? Your prompt help would be greatly appreciated.

Notarised app crashing, build app not crashing
I have an app that only crashes once it's been notarised. I read a few posts that essentially said before trying to identify issues by reviewing the crash report I should ensure signing and notarisation has happened correctly. I've worked through the document "Resolving common notarization issues" spctl -vvv --assess --type exec: gives no errors and correctly returns my developer id. codesign -dvv: returns a timestamp My app uses a hardened runtime. Issues with Notarization and Stapling
Hello, I am trying without luck to create a .dmg or .pkg for my electron app that can be opened by any user on a mac. Every time I fail. All is happening by the same pattern. Here is the last try with creating a .pkg instead of .dmg. Unable to staple - Error 65
I'm about at my wit's end trying to figure out why I can sign and notarize code, but am unable to staple the notarization, no matter what I do. I've reinstalled Xcode, reinstalled certificates, and tried about every suggestion that I can find, but still no luck. 2023 M3 MacBook Pro, OS X 15.3.1, Xcode 16.2. I have created a very basic Xcode app to test this with. Error "The staple and validate action failed! Error 65 "
Hello everyone, I’m currently developing an Electron application, and I’m trying to properly sign and notarize it for macOS. The notarization process itself seems to complete successfully—the file is accepted without issues. However, when I attempt to staple the notarization ticket to the executable, I consistently get Error 65 with TheStableAndValidateActionFailed. The issue is puzzling because the executable does not change at any point during the process. After facing this issue multiple times in my own project, I decided to test it on a more controlled setup. Yet, even with this setup, I still get the same Error 65. Below, I have attached the verbose logs for reference. Notarization takes more than a day
Hello everyone, I'm encountering significant delays with the notarization process for our Electron application using a newly created developer account. The process is taking an unusually long time (1-2 days), which is disrupting our workflow. Details: We've attempted notarization multiple times over the past 2 weeks. The process consistently takes 8+ hours before I typically abort it. (due going offline etc) Interestingly, when I check the notary history later, it shows the notarization was actually successful. Our application package is relatively large, which might be contributing to the delay (archive: 226 mb, app:800mb) Recent Examples: Current submission (still in progress): 52db12c3-4a54-4e14-9d77-e141d7f28227 Previous successful submission: 49273be6-3e13-4f3f-83a4-945114d899b9 Has anyone else experienced similar issues with notarizing applications? Are there any optimizations or best practices I should implement to reduce these processing times? I'm using the default notarization feature that comes with electron forge. Notarization takes almost a week
Hi everyone! I've send my .dmg file for notarization, it has been accepted on March 5. Since then there weren't any updates, it hasn't changed its status. What might be the problem? We are developing an application for MAC machine using .NET. After developing and signing the package in notarization process was failed with the error in the attached file. Then we have created the simple Xamarin.MAC to check whether able to notarize it . But with the simple project also we have faced the same error. Provide us the solution to fix these issues We have tried to codesiginin the app to resolve the notarization error, but while code signing the below error was thrown "unable to build chain to self-signed root for signer "Developer ID Application" (not mentioning the certificate id) SFSecure.app: errSecInternalComponent" Notarization-error

Notarytool stuck at "In Progress"

Notarization.
Hi, I've code-signed my app and notarized it, and created a DMG, and when I slacked it or airdropped it to someone for testing the FIRST time they open it, they get a warning that it was Slacked or airdropped to them and do they want to open it. if they say yes everything is fine. So looking through here someone said I need to sign the app and then make a dmg and sign the dmg and then send that for notorization and then staple that. So I did, and I still get a warning the first tie someone try's to run it. What am I doing wrong? I know I can buy software and not get a warning from apple. so how do I get my app to work correctly like that?

Error 65 upon stapling - cannot reset trust settings
Hi, I'm getting error 65 upon stapling and I am suspecting that non-default trust settings may be the reason as outlined here: Unfortunately whatever I do, I can't seem to reset the trust settings to their default values (removing the blue/white "+"), I'm not being asked for credentials upon closing the certificate window. I have also tried to unlock the System Roots key chain, to no avail. Also, when running security dump-trust-settings -d I get Number of trust settings : 0 for all certificates. Any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong? Is there any other setting that may be involved? Thanks!

Not able to notarize my application tried both .pkg and .dmg formats, Notarization Fails everytime
I have local LLM application, the backend is in python and frontend is in electron.js , all complied in a .pkg file or .dmg file I have created the valid certifcates for notarization But it fails everytime, I have attached the logs steps I followed Created a certificate all steps related to getting it setup, ran productsign command on pkg file ran codesign for dmg xcruntool submit command If anyone has any idea on how proceed codesigningdmg (2).txt code-singingpkg.txt
