After installing macOS Tahoe26.0 beta5 (25A5338b) or beta4, a memory and disk leak appears, likely caused by Spotlight indexing. The mds_stores process consumes up to 60 GB of RAM, while disk writes continue until an additional 50 GB is filled. Once the maximum is reached, the system frees the space and the cycle repeats, leading to severe memory leakage. In the available space, system data occupies as much as 150 GB. System Versions Affected: macOS Tahoe26.0 beta5 (25A5338b) and beta4. Reproduction Steps: Occurs immediately after booting up, with no additional user actions. Workaround: Booting into Safe Mode prevents the issue from occurring. Possible Cause: A bug in Spotlight indexing. In Safe Mode, Launchpad cannot search for applications, and no other issues have been observed so far. This strongly suggests that Spotlight indexing is the root cause. Potentially Affected Software: Developer-related tools such as Node.js, Maven, Vue.js, etc. It is possible that Spotlight is indexing developer project dependency directories (e.g., node_modules), which contain a large number of small files that do not require indexing, leading to this problem.

hello all, I am wondering is anyone else having trouble with the bottom half of the 12 inch display screen (vertical) with apple CarPlay? it is unresponsive. when I touch the bottom half, nothing happens. i am not able to change any setting because it requires you to touch the bottom half of the display.

I'm looking for a way to contact the company here. I've been trying to get a refund for two months, but no one returns my emails. Does anyone know how to contact them?

Background: I'm from Kenya and I use Mpesa all the time far more than bank cards. I use it to pay for stuff. One way that works is I input my phone number in the online checkout form and it should initiate what they call STK push on my phone with the line inside. I should input my Mpesa pin to authorize the payment. That works well on my Android and the basic "button" phone. In the iphone, I get issues. Issue: I was checking out at a supermarket, and on the line I should get a prompt and input the pin and that is it. I get the prompt, input the pin. The POS should update in a second or two and I should get a confirmation message. Nothing happens. Looking at the network bar, I realize the network bar is gone for one SIM. I don't know which. Airplane mode on off and try again the checkout. After inputing the pin, nothing happens. Then someone hints that iphones don't work with STK push. I had to go out, withdraw from an agent so I could pay for my stuff. 30 minutes wasted. Today I'm eating at a restaurant that has the same mpesa check-out. Same issue. I had to send money normally to an employee, who offers to go get cash for me at a fee since the nearest mpesa agent or ATM was kilometers away. Time and money wasted. Now this evening I'm chilling somewhere and there is an internet hotspot where you pay with mpesa and use internet with hourly rates. Tried to pay. Nothing happens after sending the pin. Well, something happens - there is a network outage on one SIM - network bars greyed out. I have to airplane on and off or wait a few minutes for it to come back on again. Trying to pay for Spotify premium, same issue. Tried asking people with iphones and it seems to be a common issue. It works sometimes, most times not. At first I thought it is because I'm using beta version of iOS. Pretty much everyone with iphone is complaining. In fact iPhone people are walking around with a backup 'mpesa' phone because of this issue. I haven't seen an answer in the discussions. Maybe people in the rest of the world haven't experienced this because this kind of payment is not very popular elsewhere. I would like to know if this is a bug or is it some settings we missed to make it work. Thank you.

I have an Apple TV 4k 3rd gen 128gb model connected to a downstream device that is compatible with all surround sound formats except object-based ones like DTS:X, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Atmos MAT2.0 . However, I would still like to have the highest possible audio output from the Apple TV 4k and not have to downgrade to the lossy Dolby 5.1 or stereo options when playing back content with Atmos audio (only that is affected since all other non-object-based audio is output without any problems since the problem arises from the MAT2.0 encoding for Atmos content which my downstream device is not able to decode). Please let me know if I missed a setting that can resolve my problem and otherwise please either consider adding the option or including me in the closed beta for the Apple TV OS26 since I heared that an option for audio-passtrough is in the works. As above M4 iPad Pro and all of a sudden WiFi will go to missing the Bars at top right of screen and nothing works. However if you go into settings it shows that WiFi is still connected to my network. Have iPadOS 26 and problem is only on iPad. All other devices on the network show no issues. I have Gigabit service with Fios And my own rock solid router which works great. All my other Mac devices work fine. After a few minutes the WiFi returns but I don’t know why.

Today I upgraded my macOS from Sequoia to Tahoe 26 Public Beta. After upgrading, I do not see any of my documents and desktop items. When I go to Finder, I see a Cloud icon beside my Desktop and Documents. How can I get back my local files? I still see the local files in the downloads folder. The Documents folder had all my important documents, and I couldn't afford to lose any of those. Please HELP!

Both Apple and third-party apps in CarPlay are not displaying properly after updating to iOS 26 public beta two. I submitted feedback, wondering if anybody else had this problem and have solved it. The only apps that appear to be working normally are map apps like Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze. The others show only background, but if you tap on the touchscreen it will perform an action as if the tile/link is there, but invisible

VPN apps won't work for the iOS 26 beta. It wouldnt add the configuration and instead lead me to Settings where you MANUALLY add the vpn configurations. It won't save by itself. Please fix this problem as VPN's are really important. Thank you.

We have an app that uses Core Location to obtain a users GPS location and then reverse geocodes the GPS coordinates (via CLGeocoder()) to obtain the Country and City. For some reason, all GPS coordinates we are getting from Gibraltar are showing blanks for the country and Gibraltar for the city when reverse geocoded. Has anyone encountered this problem before. Any solutions would be appreciated. Right now, we are going to check for blank country and city == 'Gibraltar" and show Gibraltar for country. I should add we don't see this issue in any other jurisdiction.

After checking the forum, it's clear that Apple has a MAJOR ONGOING PROBLEM here. We are far from the only company experiencing this, and it has been a problem for years. Apple, please FIX THIS! What's the problem? We receive an email reminding us to renew our developer account. All of Apple's instructions to renew do not work (with no explanation), and yet we are threatened with removal of our apps if we do not renew in time. Firstly, it should be unnecessary for us to manually renew because we registered a valid credit card to auto-renew. It worked last year, and the same credit card continues to be valid. Secondly, when we try to manually renew, there is no "Renew" button appearing anywhere, contrary to Apple's instructions. It's not in the Developer app (Mac or iOS), and it does not appear in the Developer account website. We now have only 16 days left until Apple kicks our app out of the App Store. @APPLE: We are not alone. Lots of your customers have the same problem, as reported on this forum for multiple years. This problem threatens the livelihoods of many people. Please fix this! Thank you.

I am on Macos Sequoia 15.5. I plugged in a brand new 8TB SanDisk SSD portable drive. I want to reformat it. Diskutility fails in this way: Erasing "SanDisk Extreme Pro 55AF Media" (disk6) and creating "NewDrive" Unmounting disk The volume on disk6 couldn't be unmounted because it is in use by process 0 (kernel) Couldn't open device. : (-69877) Operation failed… I have the drive ejected. I'm used to ejecting a drive, then unplugging it. The first time I tried this, DiskUtility complained that all sorts of processes were using it still, after I Ejected the drive (Bash, simctl, Code Helper, Word, kernel 0). So I closed all the process one by one, until only kernel proc 0 was remaining. Apparently it is not safe to simply eject a drive and then unplug it, as Eject "succeeds" but many processes still have the drive open. How do I format the drive?

WiFi networks using Captive login fail to present login screen. Network connects but no internet access. I have to use my iPhone running iOS 18 as hotspot to use Captive network.
