Reply to My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
We have been developing a new app for scanning documents and photos for six months. This app has many unique features that other apps don't have. The app automatically detects holes on the documents that have been punched with a hole punch and removes them from the document. The corners of the detected document are automatically moved inwards to get clean edges, the user can set how many pixels to indented. This app recognises the text very accurately and inserts it into the PDF document behind the image at the exact position and text size as the text on the image. The PDF generated by the app can be searched for text and the text can be marked and copied. Another important feature that no other app in the App Store offers is the function that all four corners of the document are shown enlarged in four circles and are visible at the same time. The user can see immediately if the corners have been recognized satisfactorily or if they should be corrected. The user can move the corners either on the document or

App Review
HI Team! I had submitted an update for my game which was already live. I didn’t change any designs in the game, I just removed the bugs and added a 'Rate Us' button link. Still, my game is being flagged at 4.3, even though it was previously live and running fine on the app store.

App multiple times rejected - 4.3.0 Design: Spam
Hello everyone, I’m looking for some advice or shared experiences regarding an app rejection under App Store Review Guideline 4.3(b) – Design – Spam. Our app was rejected and, after an appeal to the App Review Board, Apple maintained that the app “duplicates the content and functionality of similar apps in a saturated category.” We strongly disagree with this classification and are struggling to understand how Guideline 4.3(b) has been applied in our case. The app was developed as an original product: Custom-designed content (including original cards and interactions) A unique visual style and UI A distinct interaction flow focused on encouraging social interaction between users This was not a template-based or reskinned app, nor is it part of a series of similar submissions. We fully respect the App Store Review Guidelines and are open to making adjustments to better align with them. However, what we find difficult is the lack of specific, actionable feedback. We have not received clear gui

Publishing similar apps
Hi everyone, I’m looking for clarification regarding App Store Review Guideline 4.3 (Spam) and how it applies to unlisted apps. The guideline mentions that “Apps that are duplicates of others, or that spam the App Store with similar content, may be removed from the App Store or from the Apple Developer Program.” In my case, I’m considering distributing several unlisted apps that share a similar codebase but are customized for different clients (for example, with distinct branding and configurations). These apps would not be searchable or publicly listed on the App Store — they would only be accessible through direct links. Could anyone confirm whether Guideline 4.3 still applies to unlisted apps in the same way it does to publicly listed apps? If not, what is the recommended approach for distributing such client-specific builds while remaining compliant with Apple’s policies? Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Binary Rejection:
4.3 Spam allegation between early version FREE, Open Source API beta apps and latest version of the PAID app which has contractual PAID API incorporated along with In-App Purchase options. The Reviewers are not accounting for the difference between the free open source API and the paid licensed API. What to do to convince them?

Apple reject my app because design spam.
This time was 3rd time that apple still rejected my app because Design spam. Last time, I tried to revise my app skin but it still rejected. I added- Recorded- Share to social media with sound clip.- Calculate week.- HelpBut the apple still rejected with this reason.4.3 Design: SpamGuideline 4.3 - DesignHello,Thank you for the resubmission. However, your app duplicates the content and functionality of apps currently available on the App Store.Apps that simply duplicate content or functionality create clutter, diminish the overall experience for the end user, and reduce the ability of developers to market their apps. What does apple need? App skin or add functional.

How to publish new dating app?
Hello, I've developed a dating app and published it on Google Play Store without any problem. I tried to publish it on Apple App Store. But it was rejected because of Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam reason. I changed some design elements, added some new features and tried to publish it to Test Flight, so my friends with iPhone can test and send feedback to me. But my app was rejected again on Test Flight too with same reason. I guess all new dating apps are being rejected with Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam reason. I saw a lot of posts about dating apps rejected with same reason. In fact dating app that I developed is for a small group of people and there are (as far as I count) only 5 more dating apps in App Store for same small group of people. My dating app would be the 6th of them, if it was published. I think 6 apps for same group of people should not be too much. So my question is what should I do next? What should I do to be able to pass Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam and publish

Reply to Repeated 4.3 Guideline Rejections After Compliance & Feature Updates
Conclusion: The Fight for Fairness in the App Store After months of jumping through hoops, removing features, and complying with vague rejections, it’s clear that Apple’s 4.3 guideline enforcement lacks transparency and consistency. The App Store is meant to be a platform that fosters innovation, yet it often feels like an arbitrary gatekeeper deciding which apps get through and which don’t—without proper explanation or recourse. Trust me, this app was one of one—a completely unique tool that no other competitor offers. And I don’t say that lightly. As a developer with 10 years of experience, I know what makes an app stand out, and I’ve built multiple successful ones. This wasn’t just another generic tracking app; it brought real innovation, from gender insights to bot detection and shortcut integrations—features that were built specifically to enhance the user experience. I have repeatedly revised my app, stripping away functionalities users found valuable, only to be met with the same copy-paste re

4. 3 Design: Spam
Guideline 4.3 - DesignWe noticed that your app provides the same feature set as other apps submitted to the App Store; it simply varies in content or language, which is considered a form of spam. The next submission of this app may require a longer review time, and this app will not be eligible for an expedited review until this issue is resolved.
