Error with App Shortcut phrase: A single phrase can only use a single parameter
After installing the latest version of Xcode (16.3, 16E140), I get many instances of this error when building my app: Error: Multiple parameters detected in phrase. A single phrase can only use a single parameter. Here is an example of an App Shortcut that is causing this error: AppShortcut( intent: SelectModelIntent(), phrases: [ "Select \(\.$model) in \(.applicationName)", ], shortTitle: LocalizedStringResource("Select Model", comment: "Title for Shortcut"), systemImageName: "rectangle.3.group" ) If I replace the application name parameter with a hard-coded string, I get an error that says I need to have the application name parameter in each phrase. So is it not possible to have any other parameters in a phrase besides the application name? That seems unlikely to me.

NSUserActivity in application(_:continue:restorationHandler:) not recognized as INStartCallIntent
Hello, experts! I'm working on a VOIP application that handles audio calls and integrates with CallKit. The problem occurs when attempting to redial a previously made audio call from the system's call history. When I try to handle the NSUserActivity in the application(_:continue:restorationHandler:) method, it intercepts the INStartAudioCallIntent instead of the expected INStartCallIntent. Background Deprecation Warnings: I'm encountering deprecation warnings when using INStartAudioCallIntent and INStartVideoCallIntent: 'INStartAudioCallIntent' was deprecated in iOS 13.0: INStartAudioCallIntent is deprecated. Please adopt INStartCallIntent instead. 'INStartVideoCallIntent' was deprecated in iOS 13.0: INStartVideoCallIntent is deprecated. Please adopt INStartCallIntent instead. As a result, I need to migrate to INStartCallIntent instead, but the issue is that when trying to redial a call from the system’s call history, INStartAudioCallIntent is still being triggered. Working with Deprecated Intents: If I use INStartAudioCallIntent or INStartVideoCallIntent, everything works as expected, but I want to adopt INStartCallIntent to align with the current iOS recommendations. This happens even though INStartCallIntent is listed in NSUserActivityTypes in the info.plist and I want to migrate to the newer intent as recommended in iOS 13+. App Intents doesn't works in widgets
I’m trying to develop a widget with a button that triggers an app intent. I integrated the app intent into my app within a separate app framework. I tested it with Shortcuts and Siri, and it works well—it opens the app on the required screen. However, when I added a button Button(intent: MyIntent()) to my widget, it doesn’t work at all. The only clue I found is the following message in the Xcode debug console: “No ConnectionContext found for (some big integer)” when I tap on the widget's button. However, I see the same message when running it through the Shortcuts app, and in that case, it works fine. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue? SetFocusFilterIntent `perform()` method is not called on iOS 18 beta
I’ve set up a focus filter, but the perform() method in SetFocusFilterIntent isn't called when the focus mode is toggled on or off on my iPhone since I updated to iOS 18 beta (22A5326f). I can reproduce the issue for my app, but focus filters are also broken for any third-party apps installed on my phone, so I guess it's not specific to how I've implemented my filter intent. This used to work perfectly on iOS 17. I didn't change a single line of code, and it broke completely on the latest iOS 18 beta. I've filed a bug report including a sysdiagnose (FB14715113). To the developers out there, is this something you are also observing in your apps?

IntentDonationManager not donating Shortcuts

Donating the shortcut once a user taps a button. The shortcut is not appearing on the lock screen. Everything else is working as expected. The Shortcut is appearing in the Shortcuts App and is working via Siri. In developer settings I have Display Recent Shortcuts -> On Display Donations on Lock Screen -> On Allow Any domain -> On Allow Unverified sources -> On Running iOS 16.2, iPhone 11.

Group AppIntents’ Searchable DynamicOptionsProvider in Sections
I’m trying to group my EntityPropertyQuery selection into sections as well as making it searchable. I know that the EntityStringQuery is used to perform the text search via entities(matching string: String). That works well enough and results in this modal: Though, when I’m using a DynamicOptionsProvider to section my EntityPropertyQuery, it doesn’t allow for searching anymore and simply opens the sectioned list in a menu like so: How can I combine both? I’ve seen it in other apps, but can’t figure out why my code doesn’t allow to section the results and make it searchable? Any ideas? Request array with AppIntents
Hi, I’m trying to get an array of strings from the user using AppIntents, but I’m encountering an issue. The shortcut ends without prompting the user for input or saving the value, though it doesn’t crash. I need to get the user to input multiple tasks in an array, but the current approach isn’t working as expected. Request Array with AppIntent
Hi everyone, i'm trying to request in a AppIntent an array of strings. But I want to give the user the chance to add more than one String. The Shortcut is ending without requesting anything. But it is not crashing. I would thankfully for some help.

INUIHostedViewControlling ViewController's Life Cycle Events not being Called
I am implementing a new Intents UI Extension and am noticing that the viewWillDisappear, viewDidDisappear, and deinit methods are not being called on my UIViewController that implements INUIHostedViewControlling, when pressing the "Done" button and dismissing the UIViewController. This causes the memory for the UI Extension to slowly increase each time I re-run the UI Extension until it reaches the 120MB limit and crashes. Any ideas as to what's going on here and how to solve this issue? Worth noting that while the memory does continuously increase on iOS versions before iOS 17, only in 17 and later does the 120MB memory limit kick in and crash the extension.
