Hi,

I was wondering if there are any official statistics on the market share of various iPhone versions? Not necessarily across the entire spectrum, but perhaps only among iPhones themselves, a by-version breakdown.

Does Apple make any such data available to developers (I'm fairly sure they collect it)?

Is there a technical reason you're asking as a dev?

That data is where the gold is buried, so... I do recall seeing certain #s in the Annual Report tho.

As far as sharing w/devs, Apple tends to stick with iOS versions, and platforms, not so much specific hardware, see: https://developer.apple.com/support/app-store/

Otherwise, google is your friend - that, and any willingness you may have towards funding a white paper.

Iphone 7s and 8s dominated in 2019 globally; In the good old US of A, 11s and XRs dominated 19-20. These stats @ deviceatlas.com and are for sale by statista.com. (I don’t work with either company, just found on google search for a friend whose app I was testing.)
