Big Sur update is causing extensive screen flickering

I recently updated to Mac OS BigSur and it was fine, of course a lot of softwares weren't working but it's common right? What's the main problem is that my mac's screen started blinking crazy that I can't use it now. The screen is going bonkers blinking. Is it just me?
Same issue here. Maddening screen flicker intermittently on the MBP 15" 2019, when plugged into LG 34".

Flickering is reportedly (in gaming forums) resolved in Big Sur 11.1 Developer Beta 2 (and presumably in the RC). Haven't personally tested yet but will report back.
I'm having the same flicker problem. Particularly bad when on Citrix logging in to remote work machines.

My setup:

Running macOS Big Sur Version 11.1 (20C69)

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)
Processor: 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536 MB

Two Dell U2419H monitors

The same happened here I thought something went wrong with the Big Sur update,
I work as an IT analyst in BlackNgreen Mobile here 3 systems getting this error.
I update the MacBook pro with the latest Big Sur update.
Screen flickering continues.
Please provide any solution for this.
Got the same issue here

Hi all

Same issue here on my new 2020 MacBook Air (M1) on Big Sur (v11.0).

I use Citrix for remote access and the flickering is every time I move a window whether a pdf or Outlook.

When is the next release due?

Thanks
I have a similar issue - After upgrading to BigSur my DELL Monitor keeps flashing Blue for a moment every ~6 seconds. I was talking to a support person in the Apple store yesterday and he indicated there is a patch coming out soon - I hope so :-(
Add me to this list! MBP 2019 16 inch

Memory: 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Screen is flickering like a 2000's video game intro
I have a new Mac Mini M1 with Big Sur. For some reason my 4k monitor flickers once in a while and also displays vertical scan lines. Currently working with Apple to determine the cause. It doesn't affect my HD monitor.
MacBook Pro (15 inch, 2018)
external monitor: LG HDR WFHD

After upgrading to 11.1, my external monitor started going to a black screen for about 1 or 2 seconds ... and it occurs ~every 2 hours or so. Prior to the 11.1 upgrade, there were no issues whatsoever.

I found a possible solutions, try disabling the truetone setting in display settings.
I have axactly the same issue on MBP (13 inch, 2020). I would NOT upgrade if I were aware this issue. It is very annoying.
Having a similar issue MBP 16" 2020 - part of the screen becomes black and green with minor flickering

I was hoping this would get fixed by Big Sur 11.1 but I updated and I am still facing the same issue.

Note the screen flickering doesn't happen instantly - it seems to take a few hours before it starts - and it also seems to be monitor agnostic because I see the same issue on my macbook screen and on my monitor.
I am also experiencing this issue. I have isolated the issue to the computer and not docking station as still issues when directly plugged into monitor. The displays work perfectly when computer is left open but once computer is closed then it will start glitching and searching for signal every 2 seconds. I have changed all battery settings to ensure that it isn't a sleep setting issue to no effect. Please help as there were no issues running on Catalina.

Hello guys. I have same problem on my Macbook Air 2020. I found a solution to fix flickering. Go to Settings - Accessibility - Display -> Change the size of the cursor bigger! After that little change, the flickering stopped.
