Handoff and airplay is not working after updating BigSur 11.0.1.

My handoff/airplay devices are iPad Pro 2020(iPadOS 14.2),iPhone X(iOS 14.2),MacBook Pro2019 (Big Sur11.0.1) and apple tv.
iPad Pro and iPhone X can detect handoff from each other; But they both can't detect handoff from MacBook Pro(Big Sur11.0.1).
Same case in airplay. But it can detect apple tv.
I've tried all troubleshooting in all devices.

Hi I tried all the below options and what worked was what SJD4Jesus said.

Hello,
In order to solve the existing HandOff problem currently experience by many users maybe after the update to Mac OS Big Sur. However in my case it suffices when I just open the note App on my MacBook Pro 2018 and simple inserted a photo from my iPhone 11 Pro Max using the build in function that is taking a photo from the iPhone that is directly inserted in the Note app. After this was done I found out my Mac and my iPhone had Handoff working properly again as before the update. May this could help a few.

on Notes app: > New Note > Rt click > insert from iPhone > take a Photo from my phone and voila in the same note was working everything fine again.

Thanks

same issue here, new m1 Mac mini. airdrop was working perfectly for a short while then stopped working halfway through doing a task. I was having to download photos to my phone then airdrop them onto the Mac mini because apparently google drive does not work with the new silicon chip either- neither do my 3 printers, keyboard, backup drive, webcam- soooooo many issues!! really wishing I hadn't traded in my intel MacBook Pro for this garbage. I honestly don't understand why the m1s were released when the world was clearly not ready for them.
Same issue ((((
I am having a similar problem, e.g., a short time after updating to Big Sur 11.1, I found I could no longer AirDrop a Photo from my iPhone 8 to my Macbook Air. I select a photo, select the share icon, select the AirDrop icon. But when I select my Macbook (the only device listed), it simply shows that it is "Waiting" and eventually it gives up. I have tried everything mentioned in this thread, to no avail.
I resolved my problem. Not only had I recently updated to Big Sur, I also had recently began using ExpressVPN. After turning off the VPN, AirDrop became immediately available.
Go to Preferences ; Display.
You will find a box Airplay display, where you can click on your Apple TV and see your screen mirrored.
Also, there is a control box in the menu bar where all the control settings appear: bluetooth, wi-fi,etc. and mirroring!
Good luck to all.
Same issue!!!!!! TT
Same here, screen mirroring between iPad (iPadOS 14.4) and MacBook (Big Sur 11.1) doesn't work at all...
I too am having airplay issues. It’s permanently on off and it won’t change no matter what I do to my firewall or how many times I restart it.
Still the same Problem after update to Big Sur and try to connect Apple TV with Air Play.
Sign out from icloud and back again, did not solve it. I also switched Bluetooth off and on.

SOLVED: once I had disabled the Norton 360 it worked.

I had to disable the firewall on the Mac. Handoff started working immediately with my iPad.

Handoff and airplay is not working after updating BigSur 11.0.1.
