Can we charge customers this way and get approved?

Hey everyone!

I have a question on how we would generate revenue in the app I'm building. In short we're creating a platform that allows influencers to host exclusive lives to 1000 of their core fans. We want to make where when a fan joins a Live they're charge per minute.

There are two options we can go with according to Apple.

Option 1
Users can load money onto their account ($1, $5, $10, etc) from Apple Pay or with their debit card. When they upload money onto their account they can join a Live. When they join we will charge this user $0.08 cents for every minute their inside a Live. If they run out of funds on their account their kicked out of the Live if it's going, otherwise if they have the funds in their account they can continue to stay in the Live until it ends.

You can view apps like Starbucks when you have to reload your rewards card balance. You also have Spin Scooter where you have to upload at least $10 to unlock a scooter. When you use a scooter Spin takes the amount it cost to rent the scooter out of your account.

We want use this type of experience but is there any restrictions to going with Option 1?

Option 2
We create in App Purchases that allow fans to purchase set amount of time at a certain price. For example we could charge the Fan $0.99 cents for 15 minutes worth of time. When they purchase that plan they can join a Live for 15 minutes. Every minute their inside Live a minute is deducted from their account Time total.

This is the route I'm worried Apple is going to force us to go with.

From the guidelines they have I couldn't find an answer to my question/problem... which is:

"Can shape our platform so Users can upload money onto their account and we charge their account balance every time they join an Influencers Live?"

I'm sorry if these are dumb questions, we just don't want to build a product one way and then have to change it because the Apple Review Team won't approve our product. We have a ton of traction and Investors behind us, which means we're trying to get into the App Store as quickly as possible.

Any guidance on this would be awesome and please ask any questions you might have.

Thank you!
AJ Picard
