I have denied the use of the camera in Safari, but it is still available.

I have set the iPhone device settings to deny the use of the Safari camera. (Settings app>Safari>Camera>"Deny") When selecting a file on a website and choosing "Take Photo", the camera can be activated.

Devices tested iPhone SE (2nd generation) iOS 16.5 iPhone 7 iOS 15.7.3 iPhone 13pro iOS 16.5.1

But, Chrome is able to deny it successfully.

Do you know if this is using Safari or a glitch? And, do you know how to make the rejection work in Safari as well?

That could be a bug. Can you use Feedback Assistant to file a bug report, and paste the FB ID here?

To launch Feedback Assistant on a non-Seed/Beta build, type this URL into MobileSafari, then allow the app to be launched: applefeedback://

Note that you need to be registered as a developer, although there should be an option to do that for free.
