Hello: I have been trying to install MacOS Big Sur beta 4 on my 27 iMac 2020. Downloaded the beta profile but the beta version is not showing under available software updates. Have tried to do everything that this forum suggests (including uninstalling and reinstalling the profile via Terminal), but it has been of no use. Its not going beyond Catalina 10.15.6. The only beta that has downloaded is the beta version of Safari. And yes, I do have a developer account. Can someone please help and point me in the right direction? The results are pretty much the same when I did try to install a public beta. Thanks

Hi... I've updated to the latest version of the Big Sur Beta yesterday, and now when I try and preview an audio file through Quick Look in Finder it doesn't play the audio back properly. It distorts/stutters - it's a bit difficult to describe, but it sounds horrid. Doesn't matter the type of audio file I try it does the same. My MacBook plays audio perfectly happily in any other app - and other file types are previewing fine in Quick Look. Is anyone else experiencing this, and is there a fix? Or is it a case of waiting for this bug to be fixed as part of the next Beta version? Thanks!
Hello! I have just updated to Big Sur from Catalina, the mac restarted and all, but after all of that, the software was still Catalina, nothing changed. I have an early 2015 MacBook Air, I don't think it's too old for it. What happened?
Hi, practically Safari 14 on my MacBook Pro 2020 is unusable. I also tried to delete the plists and open it by holding down the shift key. Nothing, very slow. Ideas? Thank you
Hi, Messenger is not working after update and the tab preferences in the app is not active so cant even get in there and do anything.... Bug?
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) 2,9 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i9 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB Was working great with Catalina. After upgrading it's a 90s laptop now. Is apple looking into it or we are all alone?
Started the typical update process on a MacBook Air, plenty of resources available. and the process has stalled. It's been running for 9 hours overnight, and after a safe boot, and all recovery process, it's still stopped responding.
Have any of you using the beta notice that iWork shows the Catalina icons instead of the icons that they showed in WWDC? Please let me know if you saw that too, and if not that would be great as well.
can the Handoff icons be on the left in the old way? :)
Update: The problem persists in Xcode 13.1 with Big Sur 11.6, Big Sur 11.6.1, and Monterey 12.0.1.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) Ran Apple Diagnostics = No Problem (ADP000) Installed Mac OS 11.01 Big Sur Worked without problems for first day. Second day I shut the screen to move to another location and when I opened up screen was black. After force quit and restart it was back to black screen. Ran through all the usual key presses on startup to try and get the screen back with no luck. Plugged into an external monitor restarted and the external monitor came up no problem. MacBook screen black with a slight visible difference using brightness 🔆 🔅 keys. Then without touching anything MacBook screen came back no issues looked great. Then 5-10 mins later a visible static across the screen and it is gone again. Shutdown Start and restart had the same a few times but currently not working other than on external monitor. Apple please fix this is obviously related to Big Sur.
Ever since I updated to Big Sur, particularly, late last week and it is worse, today, the flickering with Safari, is so disruptive, I am having trouble getting work complete. I will be typing in another program and it flashes bumping me out of the field I am typing in, so I have to click back in start again. Please help! Jennifer
I upgraded to macOS Big Sur after that I couldn’t work with oracle e business suite because de Java Plugin no longer would load and the forms couldn’t open I have tried Safari and Firefox but frmservlet isn’t working . Any one else seen this? help please .
Do I need Big Sur? If you want to write a SwiftUI app using @AppStorage or other features introduced in WWDC 20, you need Xcode 12. You can run Xcode 12 on Catalina. If you want to develop and test a macOS app using such features, you need Big Sur. Can I run Big Sur from an external disk? I have not tried yet, but you can find some articles searching with installing big sur external disk.
