About guideline 4.3 Design - spam
Our team members are so upset and exhuasted about the guideline 4.3. We have spent 60 days on the app submission but still get no luck to be approved and no black and white instruction to improve. We post here for intelligent solution.This is our situation -We are developing an IOT project ( a digital photo frame ), the end-products of this project is: a digital photo frame and the APP.The APP is simply a photo/video transmission tool which transmit the media on the phone to users' digital photo frame.Here comes the issue:1. We have our own branding digital photo frames products and our own app on the market.2. We are also the OEM of other digital photo frames products which have different brands from us. Our clients need the full solution - their own branding app which have very similar functions with our own branding app( this breaches the annoying and irrational guideline 4.3)What we have done:1. Completely new design of home page / splashscreen / app icon / app description / app name.2.

All my apps rejected as Spam
Hi,I have 50+ stickers pack for iMessage. In 2018 years I tried publish stickers for WhatsApp and got reject 4.3 SPAM. After it all my new stickers packs for iMessage got reject with same description too. In description was said that I can create container app where I can include all my stickers.In January 2019 I published container app. It was approved.After it each my new updates for this app got reject as 4.3 Spam with suggesion to create container app. Each time I wrote in Resolution center, that this app is container app and all updates always was aproved.Now I created 3 brand new apps which have different functionality, not contain any stickers, and even not for iMessage. But for all apps I still got reject 4.3 SPAM with suggesion to create container app.After I wrote in Resolution center, 2 of 3 apps was approved, but for last one (app for Yoga) I got message that I should provide some evidents for my bussines,To help us proceed with the review of your app, please provide doc

Today I received the message from the appstoreMy app is random chatting app between the users.Guideline 4.3 - DesignWe noticed that your app provides the same feature set as other apps submitted to the App Store; it simply varies in content or language, which is considered a form of spam.The next submission of this app may require a longer review time, and this app will not be eligible for an expedited review until this issue is resolved.What can I do in this case?I don't know what to do....Thank you for your time.

need advice for resolving update rejection Lite vs Pro
I've had an app on the App Store since 2011'ish with a Pro and Lite version.This week, updates to both apps were rejected for 4.3 Spam. My guess from searching forums is that this is not allowed anymore.How have you guys been able to resolve this issue? Do I have to delete 1 app so the other can be updated?This is really a bad catch-22 situation for me. If I delete Pro version, then lots of users are hurt. If I delete Lite version, then upgrade users are hurt and leaves users with no way to try out the full app.I don't want to do anything rash/permanent so please let me know your experiences.Thanks,Robert

Reply to publish different app version according to the country
Regarding different versions of the app for different country App Stores - you choose the countries in which each app is listed for sale. So you could use a different app for different countries. Each different app would actually be just a different version of the same app. But here you would run up against being rejected for '4.3 Spam' https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#spam A better solution would be to have the app detect the country App Store from which it is purchased. I do not know a straightforward way of doing that because currentLocale is set by the user's preference not the user's App Store country. But another way is to make an SKProductRequest for an IAP - any IAP. During the response to that SKProductRequest you would examine the SKProduct's priceLocale.countryCode and that would reveal the counry of the App Store. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/skproduct/1506145-pricelocale?language=objcIn this process there is no need to actually make the purch

Applications submitted to the App Store have been rejected by 4.3 for a long time.
Our application was developed and designed entirely independently, and we made adjustments after it was rejected at first.Apple audits have always been a mechanical response, and do not specify specific violations.It's a headache to reply to their email and give 2.1 big gift package question.We examined App carefully and found that none of these problems existed.They didn't respond in time.App audits have now been resubmitted and are awaiting review. What should I do?

Guideline 4.3- Spam- Can’t Get Resolved- Help!
Hello, we have been having huge problems with guideline 4.3- Spam. We submitted our App just fine and it has been rejected on the update. We have responded multiples time with no help.Their original response was:“We noticed that your app provides the same feature set as other apps submitted to the App Store; it simply varies in content or language, which is considered a form of spam” and ”When creating multiple apps where content is the only varying element, you should offer a single app to deliver differing content to customers. If you would like to offer this content for purchase, it would be appropriate to use the in-app purchase API”.We kindly explained to them our app has been created in-house with a team of over 15 developers. We did not use a template. We also attached our copyright for them. Not only this, but we only have 1 APP in our developer account. We have heard of developers being rejected with tons of APPS but we only have 1! We have double checked our description and keywords too and

Tagged for 4.3 Design / Spam
Well it finally happened to me. I have been waiting for it. I got for rejected for spam, on a new Sudoku App. I have a Calcudoku App. A Nurikabe App. A Kakurasu App. All with the exact same interface.And I uploaded a Sudoku App, and got tagged for similar design Spam.There is ZERO way to combine the apps, unless I want to spend a few years.I can understand how the reviewer rejected it.But the 'spam design' is actually a GOOD thing. Having a similar design for completely different puzzle games add a familarity to the user. SO he / she only has to learn a new game and not a new interface.Obviously these reviewers are not programmers, and they just follow a checklist. Ironically, this is one of my best coded apps. I computer generated Sudoku Puzzles, not an easy thing to do. (They have TED talks on it)There is nothing I can do but appeal. There is no way to fix this. It is really quite depressing. I hope some of these these App reviewers are programmers, and my appeal is accepted.

4.3 Spam issue and Apple isn't answering
Hi,We are developing a dating app and got rejected by the Appstore several times. So I decided to change our business model, marketing, and took out certain functions after having a phone call with apple.I deleted the old bundle, and created a new one.Now I got rejected again for 4.3 Spam issues. However, I deleted the old bundle BEFORE submitting the new one. The bundle is the only one I have in my developer account. All I wanted to have is a fresh start. I tried to clearify that but now Apple isn't responding since 7 days. We noticed that your app provides the same feature set as other apps submitted to the App Store; it simply varies in content or language, which is considered a form of spam.The next submission of this app may require a longer review time, and this app will not be eligible for an expedited review until this issue is resolved.Any idea how long I have to wait for an answer, or is that some kind of unlimited time ban?

4.3 design spam problem
Hi. i am trying to publish my new drag racing game, i already have 2 other kind drag racing game,but this new one is totally different, all UIs. gameplay, tracks etc are new...But they wont let me publish it, what should i do?

Reply to Duplicate App and Rebranding
With two apps having the same functionality but different branding, you're more likely to have problems with 4.3 (Spam). Apple has been pretty rigorous enforcing that rule over the past few years.
