Battery Health
I bought my iPhone 12 in March 2021. I use both 5g and wifi for over 2 months. After I updated to IOS 14.5, I noticed that my battery health went from 100% to 95% in just 2-3 months. After that, I stopped using 5g and just used wifi. But it is still draining fast. I only use my phone for social media and use it for gaming sometimes. I also use Apple’s 20watt charger. I also don’t let my battery life go down to 25%. Now, my battery health is at 92% in just 5 months of using it. What exactly is the problem and how can I prevent my battery health from draining too fast? Is my battery defective?

iP6, 11.3 and battery
After multiple Restore and Factory Restores and a session online with Apple Support that resulted in put an Apple-branded battery in it, I have come to the conclusion that the 11.3 beta for iPhone 6 is incompatible with non-Apple-branded batteries. The result: my iPhone 6 is now worthless until I can get an Apple-branded battery installed. Right now there's a 5-week queue in the Portland area for an iP6 battery. My battery life was poor (6 hours) so I knew it was time for new battery. Running 11.2.5 at the time, Apple announces battery replacement program. Immediately Apple batteries are at a premium and I can't get one. So I ordered an iFixit battery and installed. New battery, new lease on battery life. Wonderful. Then I install 11.3 and suddenly the phone is shutting down with 30-70% charge remaining indicated. When I plug into external source, phone restarts

OneNote doesn't recognize pencil
I just got a new iPad Pro 10.5 and I've immediately installed iOS 11 on it. Now I'm trying to find a good note taking app but OneNote doesn't seem to recognize my Pencil. Google tells me this should not be the case so I guess this is iOS 11 related. Does anyone else have this issue?

Reply to Unsupported operation - Apps are not allowed to listen to device lock notifications
You or a thrid pary library that you are using are probably observing 'com.apple.springboard.lockstate' or 'com.apple.springboard.lockcomplete' which Apple no longer allows. They are Darwin notification and were always a little risky to use. Then again, it sure would be nice if Apple gave us and official way to know if the device is locked. In my case I use this information to power down a peripheral Bluetooth speaker. Without this, users will suffer with much shorter battery life.

Reply to iPhone 6 Battery Life after iOS 9 Upgrade
I have noticed that the Phone does not turn off the display after sitting for a while. The brightness goes way down, but the screen itself is still on and phone is not locked, this is even with the auto-lock set to 5 minutes, which might be contributing to the battery life drain that I'm seeing. If I manually lock my phone the battery seems to last longer.

Reply to List available wifi access points in the same network.
I install wifi networks and just switched from Android to iPhone 13 pro. To my surprise there is no iOS app nor API to access wifi signal strength for access points. What a joke Apple is. The problem seems to be greed from management instead of technical difficulty. I will probably switch back once Samsung gets a good battery life to compete again. What a shame really.

Wishlist: Use Pencil to simulate 3D Touch
I sure wish Apple would allow the Apple Pencil to be used to simulate 3D Touch on iPad Pros. Anyone else interested in this? Thanks!

Reply to Battery Draining Too Fast- watchOS 4.3 beta 2
Watch OS 4.3 dev ᵦ6 (15T5212a)Series 0 42mm sport.Battery life 42% after 12 hours... 2-column activity rings face with fantastical complication. Also, did a mile (indoor walk). Dramatic increase in battery life since last couple of betas. I did remove SIRI as one of my available watch faces if that matters.

Reply to Will Apple Pencil work with all iOS devices or just the iPad Pro?
Apple Pencil is for the iPad Pro. As for styluses for precision note taking that is going todepend largely on the application you're using since the app is responsible for translatingthe stylus input on the fly.

Reply to URLSession can't complete task when server is not found
if the domain does exist and your app is in low data mode and is in a constrained network, such as cellular The behaviour i described appears in normal conditions, battery life is fine, both wi-fi and cellular were tested, and both on simulator and on device.
