Reply to Xcode on VisionOS

The only reason for me to buy Apple Vision Pro is the ability to work like a Mac, being able to install frameworks and good code editors such as Visual Studio Code to develop in an environment without screens and wires.

I had the same problem with my angular projects, but after closing visual studio the connection came back to normality. I uninstalled some extensions such as ninja log, WSL, html to jsx, etc and I could work normal again.

Hello BjornTikkanen,There are many different code editors for the Mac that are more suitable for web development like this. Some examples might be BBEdit, Visual Studio Code, Sublime, Atom, and maybe 2 dozen more.

Reply to Profil provisionning impossible to Install

Too strong, I have the impression that publishing a bogus app from XCode generated another development certificate in my keychain, now I have two with the same name. This unlocked everything and now I can debug in visual studio! It’s a bit incomprehensible!!!

Thanks for your answer. I understood that Contents/MonoBundle/ is not a valid code nesting site. However, Visual Studio for Mac uses this directory and there seems to be no way to change it. Is there a way to change this directory to Contents/Frameworks/ or is there another solution?

Reply to Easy way to view variable values?

As much as I dislike Microsoft visual studio this is the one thing that I actually liked about it. It lets you set break points and easily see values for variables. Even navigating through the variables in the inspector area is easy. I wish Xcode would adopt such a feature.

iOS Simulator in Sierra - Studio Midi does not work

I am encountering very bad problem using Sierra + xcode 8 + iOS Simulator: I develop midi application, but now , when I start the iOS Simulator I get no midi-port available, I mean: Usualle using Studio Midi is possible to see the virtual iOS device, plus you can see se the session, typically named Session 1. being this is possible to re-route the MidiNetwork ( midi_driver ) to a physical port, but now, using Sierra the iOS Simulator is not visible no longer, and I do not know ( and where to find ) a solution. Very bad situation because it stopped the developing and code-production. Any Good idea to solve this????

Reply to itunes install ipa, and icon disappears?

Yes, I confirm that I have a valid provisioning profile for the device.I use Xamarin on Visual Studio, and I always generated the ipa file you were installing correctly, but since I updated Xcode to 8.0 the problem began.I tried to recreate the provisioning profile, but the problem remains.

This is terrible solution for hobbyist developers. I have lot of small apps that I don't update all that often. I can still run Visual Studio 2005 on my Windows 10 machine. I would expect Xcode to run for as long as the ecosystem is still needed.

I talked about Linux and Visual Studio / Windows. How did you get the idea I was saying LLVM was much further along with BSD which I did not mention. LLVM is coming to windows by Google and now Microsoft - but Linux is much further along than .... Windows
