How can I get a cover-art image via Bluetooth BIP
I want to get Cover-Art Image over Bluetooth. From the SDP Discover iPhoneSE, it support Cover-Art Feature. I connect and config OBEX Channel with L2CAP ERTM, it is successful. I send connect_request the OBEX Connect, the iPhone always no any response, and l2cap s-frame response from iPhone always failed. From the Apple Developer, it need Apple Authentication Chip. Is it still necessary now? Are there any other ways to obtain album pictures?

NEHotspotConfiguration apply returns userDenied error without user interaction
I’m encountering an unexpected issue while using NEHotspotConfigurationManager.shared.apply(...) to connect to a Wi-Fi network. Specifically, I’m receiving a userDenied error, even though the user did not interact with any system prompt. Here’s a version of the code I’m using: let config = NEHotspotConfiguration(ssid: ssid, passphrase: passphrase, isWEP: false) // config.joinOnce = true NEHotspotConfigurationManager.shared.apply(config) { error in if let err = error { let nsErr = err as NSError mlog("err.code:\(nsErr.code)") if nsErr.code == NEHotspotConfigurationError.alreadyAssociated.rawValue { self.findWiFiListAndConnect(ssid, passphrase, overtimeSec, timeStart) } else { self.cmdDelegateQueue.async { self.delegate?.wifiClose(nsErr.code) } } } } The error returned is: wifiClose status: 7 Which corresponds to NEHotspotConfigurationError.userDenied. According to the official Apple documentation, this error should only occur when the user explicitly cancels the system dialog. However, in my case: • No system dialog appears. • The user does nothing, yet the error is still returned. • This issue does not happen every time, but it has been observed across multiple devices. Additional info: • iOS version: 18.5 • Device model: iPhone • joinOnce is not set (defaults to false) • Existing configuration is removed using removeConfiguration(...) before applying Is it possible that under certain system states (e.g. backgrounded, network restrictions, or app permissions), iOS silently fails without showing the prompt? Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone know what could cause this behavior? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Unable to Save Edited Word Files After Installing macOS 26 Beta on MacBook Air M3
Hello, I recently installed the macOS 26 beta version on my MacBook Air M3, and I've encountered an issue where edited Word files are failing to save. I’ve tried restarting my laptop and checking for updates, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a specific setting I might have missed or any troubleshooting steps you recommend? Thank you for your assistance!

Mapping issue between physical buttons of the Matter switch and buttons on the Apple App
Hi, We are developing a Matter switch product. The switch contains 4 buttons, and each button supports click, double click, and held actions. Currently, the device can be successfully commissioned with a HomePod mini, and in the Apple Home app, it is displayed as 4 buttons with options for click, double click, and held for each. The only issue is that the order of the 4 buttons in the Home app does not correspond to the endpoint order (endpoint 1–4). For example, the following mapping might occur: endpoint 1 → button 2 endpoint 2 → button 3 ... We found a related issue on the Apple Developer Forums that matches what we're experiencing: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/772367?utm_source=chatgpt.com According to the official response, the problem seems to be caused by insufficient metadata being reported by the device. Could you please provide more specific guidance on what exact information needs to be reported from the device side? We have already tried adding the Fixed Label and User Label clusters to the device, but they don't seem to have any effect. Ideally, we would like the button labels in the Home app add our custom names in the correct order, as below: button 1 (right_button) button 2 (up_button) button 3 (down_button) button 4 (left_button) This would provide a much better user experience. Thank you in advance!

Tilde, back tick and Pipe are missing from keyboard
I opened a terminal window this morning and couldn't cd to /home. When I type a tilde, I get a paragraph symbol. Yesterday, my external keyboard could type a Pipe symbol, no such luck today. I ended up having to use hidutil to remap my keyboard and run keystrokes through terminal to restore what worked yesterday. When I look at the available English keyboards, they're all showing a paragraph symbol above the Tab key. Has anyone else run into this sudden keyboard change?

Bluetooth not working in Satellite mode – iOS blocks Bluetooth access for EV charging app
We have developed a live iOS application, built using Swift and UIKit, that enables users to connect via Bluetooth to an EV charging box. Once connected, users can start and stop the charging process directly from the app. The app also requires an active internet connection initially, as it uses server-side functionality to select and authorize the charging box. However, we recently discovered an issue affecting users on iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models, specifically when the device enters Satellite mode (Emergency SOS via Satellite) — i.e., when there is no mobile data or Wi-Fi. In this mode, the system Satellite screen is triggered and Bluetooth stops functioning, preventing our app from connecting to the EV box. Users are unable to proceed, even though the app would still be usable via Bluetooth once the box is selected. We have already declared required Bluetooth background modes (bluetooth-central, bluetooth-peripheral) in Info.plist, and the app functions perfectly outside of this scenario. However, the behavior in Satellite mode appears to either disable Bluetooth entirely or restrict access from third-party apps. We’d like to know Is this the expected default behavior on iOS in Satellite mode? Is there any entitlement or exception available to allow Bluetooth access in such emergency scenarios (especially for critical utilities like EV charging)? Can an app like ours be made visible under the Satellite settings, or request access under this mode? This is a concern for users in remote or basement locations where mobile data is unavailable, and they rely solely on Bluetooth to charge their vehicles. Please advise if there is a workaround or planned support in future iOS versions. Thank you.

External Mic (Hollyland Lark M2) Not Working After iOS 26 Update on iPhone 11 Pro Max
I am writing to report an issue I’m facing after updating my iPhone 11 Pro Max to iOS 26. I have been using the Hollyland Lark M2 external microphone via the Lightning port, and it was working perfectly before the update. However, after upgrading to iOS 26, the iPhone no longer detects it correctly. The device now recognizes the mic as a pair of wired earphones, and it fails to capture any audio input. The microphone itself works flawlessly on other devices, so this appears to be an iOS-specific issue. Could you please confirm: • Whether this is a known issue in iOS 26? • If there are any settings or steps I can take to resolve this? • Whether a fix is planned in an upcoming iOS patch? I would appreciate any guidance or solution you can provide. Thank you for your support.

Example for AccessorySetupKit bluetoothTransportBriding
Hi there! I'm developing a dual-mode bluetooth accessory and would like to pair it through AccessorySetupKit. I'm using an ESP32 with Bluekitchen btstack. This supports CTKD, which seems to be a requirement for the Bluetooth transport bridging according the WWDC19 session 901. I've been in contact with the btstack developer and verified that I can get the device to generate an LTK for the classic transport when reading an encrypted attribute. I'm not able to get this to work with the bluetoothTransportBriding option with AccessorySetupKit though. What I've found so far is that if I omit the .bluetoothTransportBriding option during pairing I will get a pairing request when I read an encrypted attribute after connecting with the CBConnectPeripheralOptionEnableTransportBridgingKey option. If I accept this request it seems like the system automatically brings up the A2DP profile. However if I include .bluetoothTransportBriding and/or .bluetoothPairingLE this option does not pop up, but the system does not bring up the A2DP profile. In this case things seem to end up in a weird situation where the device doesn't show up for pairing in Bluetooth Settings either, making it impossible to manually connect for A2DP. Based on the AccessorySetupKit example from WWDC24 I've created a dice accessory firmware for ESP32 using btstack. The code for this is available here: https://github.com/ljodal/esp32-btstack-ctkd-test I've also tweaked the AccessorySetupKit example app for iOS to add the ASAccessory.SupportOptions. The code for that is available here: https://github.com/ljodal/accessorysetupkit-ctkd-test Is there any documentation available anywhere on what is expected of the device for Bluetooth Transport Bridging to work with AccessorySetupKit?
