I have an iPhone 12 mini and I am currently using it as a modem for my router. Previously it was running iOS 14, but the DHCP on iOS 14 doesn't work and Apple didn't fix it until iOS 15. Recently I upgraded the system to iOS 18.4 to get DHCP back, but I got a bigger problem. The iPhone will restart itself after 3 days, and then I just lost internet connection. The hotspot will not be turned on until I climbed on my bookshelf to unlock my phone. After I googled it, I found that it is a feature that Apple introduced in iOS 18.1. While I couldn't find any setting to turn it off. If this cannot be controlled by the user, then it is anyway a BUG than a feature.

After updating to IOS Beta 18.3 car play won't work on iPhone 16 Pro. My daughters does on my Range Rover so it is the BETA update. Can not remove beta update, please help.

Current Implementation I have successfully implemented data collection and transfer from the Apple Watch to the iPhone. The app's main UI correctly displays the user's real-time BPM. When the user stops the route, an analysis view is generated, showing speed and altitude (both work perfectly). Expected Behavior The user starts recording a route while monitoring heart rate. After tapping "Stop Route," an analysis view should display a heart rate graph along with speed and altitude data. Issue Encountered Despite multiple attempts, I have not been able to properly generate the heart rate graph. The only result I have achieved so far is a flat line with points representing the recorded BPM over time, instead of a proper graph. Request for Help If anyone has experience implementing a similar feature, I would appreciate any guidance on correcting my implementation. I can share: The file responsible for graph visualization. The file handling data processing after the user stops the route. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! After I got my repaired phone back from the shop, I noticed that iphone mirroring is not functioning like normal. I tried every solutions from deleting the .plist files and reset my phone's connection, but now it seems like the problem comes from the mirroring app itself. After deleting the .plist file and resetting the MBP, the setup for the mirroring app won't let me continue, as clicking the "continue" button only flash the descriptions of the mirroring feature for a slight moment, then return to the same setup UI as before. Is there anyway to completely delete and reinstall this app so that it functions again?

Hi everyone, I am wondering under which settings the camera(s) were set by the time they were calibrated. For instance, one aspect that is easy to find is the reference resolution of the images taken when calibrating the intrinsics, this is by retrieving intrinsicMatrixReferenceDimensions. Making sure that the principal point is referenced to the by the time resolution used when the calibration was ongoing. However, recently I saw that there are focusing modes that potentially displace the lens' physical position. Settings like: AutoFocusRangeRestriction: none, near, far setFocusModeLocked: Locks the lens position at the specified value, and sets the focus mode to a locked state. My concern lies the impact this focusing lens displacements have on the intrinsic matrix parameters, if the lens is displaced, these parameters no longer describe the camera since the lens position has changed w.r.t. the lensPosition set when they were calibrated [0-1]. If my understanding is correct the AutoFocusRangeRestriction is just a range freedom the system is allowed to auto-focus and not a specific lens position. Conversely, the setFocusModeLocked does indeed fix the lensPosition to a certain value [0 - 1]. In simple words, what is the focus lensPosition the cameras were set when calibrating them for intrnisics?

For 9 Glorious Months, My MacBook Pro & J5 Create JCD543 HUB Were Best Friends… Until I Updated macOS For nearly a year, my MacBook Pro 14” (2023, M2 Pro, 16GB RAM) worked flawlessly with my J5 Create JCD543 HUB, allowing me to run: ✅ 4 External Displays (Samsung, LG, Insignia, Samsung) A setup that worked perfectly… until I updated macOS. Then Came the Update… and the Issues Began First, I updated last week. Two of my four displays stopped working. No big deal, I thought—I’ve dealt with display quirks before. Then, like an optimist ignoring red flags, I updated again last night to 15.4 Beta (24E5222f) and… well, now things are completely broken. My Once-Perfect Setup (Now a Display Disaster) JCD543 HUB → 2 HDMI displays (not working) JUD380 HUB → 1 HDMI display (partially working, unstable) MacBook HDMI port → 1 HDMI display (working, but feeling abandoned) JCA365 USB-C to Dual HDMI Adapter (Not part of my setup, but tested—also not working) What I’ve Tried (aka My Troubleshooting Journey) ✔ Restarted my Mac multiple times ✔ Uninstalled and reinstalled J5 drivers ✔ Swapped cables, unplugged/replugged everything, tested known-working HDMI cables (they work fine on other devices) ✔ Deleted /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.displays.plist (this fixed a similar issue in the past, but the file no longer exists in this update) The Likely Culprit? I am trying to add a custom domain to my iCloud+ Mail however when I try to add its main user/email address I get an error saying that the email is already in use with another apple account. After this I checked the duplicate account and since I had forgotten the password I reset it and logged in. Then I followed the instructs on https://support.apple.com/en-in/102283 to permanently delete my account. This request was initiated on 8 Feb 2025 but I received the final email that all my data had successfully been deleted from Apple's servers on 25 Feb 2025. Despite Apple's confirmation that my account had been deleted successfully, I am still unable to use that email address to create an iCloud+ Mail account, even after waiting a whole month! This is very frustrating. I contacted Apple support via chat and phone and after more than 30 mins of back and forth they instructed me to contact Developer Support which I did two days ago (case ID is 102546369564) still no response. Hi there, with the latest update, the ability to click in the file name field at the top of a document (eg Pages, Numbers) to add or change the name of the file, then select filing location, no longer works. Previously, a user could do this and then hit 'return' and it would save to that location with that new file name. It no longer does this. This is a very useful functionality to have. Can it be returned in a future update?

Hello! I used the Apple CA Playthrough example code that pipes audio between devices. It uses AudioUnit callbacks to pipe the input to an output device, and I created a system equalizer with it - however users reported it stopped working in macOS 15. I am getting the error HALPlugIn.cpp:552 HALPlugIn::DeviceGetCurrentTime: got an error from the plug-in routine, Error: 1937010544 (stop) for the output device and no sound coming out of the speakers. The error only occurs when using a virtual device as an input, not using the microphone. First I thought the problem was in the loopback driver, but it also does not work with other loopback drivers like Blackhole. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Install a virtual device, for example "brew install blackhole-2ch" and run the CAPlayThrough example code (you need to add Mic Permission in the info.plist). Then set your system audio output to the virtual device, select the device as input in CAPlayThrough and hit start. You should see the error in console. My question: What did change in macOS 15 that could cause this? Is it something with the new permission handling maybe?

When trying to enroll via web, I fill in the details and try to make the payment, but payment itself is not deducted from my bank account. I receive email that payment is being processed, but nothing further happens.

I have two eSIMs from different providers. One shows data usage in settings>Mobile Service>Mobile Data For ……. It shows ‘Current Period‘ and ‘Roaming ‘usage for this eSIM but not the other one. I have contacted the help desk for the provider and they say it’s not enabled. I am assuming they mean they have not set it on the sims provided Or in Carrier Bundle. Is there any way of enabling this through the device using any software tool etc.?? thanks in advance

So recently, last week, ive updated to the Dev Beta of ios 26. This began the very issue of my cellular data. I woke up to a warning symbol where my cellular bars should be, telling me there was something wrong with my antenna or carrier when in reality there was no problem with any of those problems and took up about 53% of my storage. iPadOS 26 Dev Beta 1 - need to do a restore via DFU mode. I made sure iPad in normal mode shows up in Finder and I can see device details. When I boot into DFU mode (I have kept the ipad connected to mac), it does not show up in Finder. No matter what combination of plugging/unplugging cables, rebooting, again into DFU mode, it will not show up in Finder. Looking for steps to resolve this, or do I need to wait until beta 2 to resolve this?
