Hi, Does anyone have a good reference list of all capabilities that are unavailable in an iMessage App vs a regular App? In particular, I'm trying to figure out whether I can 1) request a signature via passkey, and 2) send a POST request to an HTTP endpoint. Hi, I am trying to create a custom SF Symbol from an SVG file created with Affinity Designer but, even though my SVG file look perfect in Firefox for example compared to the exported custom.circle.svg file (as recommended in Apple's documentation), I fail to get rid of this error: "The provided variants are not interpolatable" My creation process using Affinity Designer is: Export as SVG file Duplicate the custom.circle.svg file exported from the SF Symbols app In the new file, replace the 3 "path" tags in the "g" sections "id="Black-S", "Regular-S", "Ultralight-S" with the paths from the SVG file exported from Affinity designer Set the 3 transform matrices to "matrix(1 0 0 1 0 0)" for the 3 variants to be generated at the correct location. Verify in an SVG viewer that the file looks correct. Import the file via Drag&Drop into the SF Symbols app. What is wrong with my file? Thank you in advance for any help, Marc mySymbol.svg.txt

When I run SF Symbols, I get a "Fonts Mismatch" error. It claims that newer versions of all the SF-Pro-[Display/Rounded/etc.] family (save the italics ones) are available. The link it sends me to apparently still has the older versions. I've deleted the 'older' versions of the font files and then run the SF-Pro font installer off the downloaded disk image; error just continues to appear.

When I create a tab group for the sidebar on iPad, the title and disclosure triangle act like a single control. Every time I tap the section title, the disclosure triangle for that section activates and hides or exposes that section's children and actions. I want the section title to behave like Photos, where tapping a section title just displays its view controller, and the disclosure triangle is a separate control that must be tapped to hide and show children and actions. I did not see any delegate methods that would let me control this behavior. Is this supported?

I have tried to add multiple fonts (ttf and otf) to 'Fonts provided by application' key. As soon as I navigate away from the 'Info' tab the 'Fonts provided by application' key disappears. Also, the fonts never show up in the console list. I have added them to the OS (Monterey) and the XCode project. I have repeatedly followed the instructions and been sure to follow the instructions to the letter. All fonts have been spelled correctly and the file extensions used where and when needed in the project. I am lost to understand this. Why would the 'Fonts provided by application' key disappear?

My newly released App Snapshot-Chess-Move, #1592848671, is not creating a public database of chess moves as I expect. What steps do I need to do inorder for my App to be using a public database. It appears as if each of my iOS devices, iPhone, iPad and Mac mini each have a private database of chess moves. When I change my data on the iPad, I expect the new data to appear (with slight delays) on the Mac.. I do not know what to do next. Please help me. This was working in Development mode but not in Production when I submitted my App for release. UPDATE: The cloud data is copied locally to a @Quary variable and updated by using .insert, .delete and .save commands. So, I deleted and re-downloaded my apps on each device, iPad, iPhone, and Mac and obtained the same cloud data. So how do users get the most recent copy of the cloud. Do they need to delete their App and start over? Is there a .update command that can do this updating for me? Also, I pushed the App out of the background and restarted the App to obtain the updated cloud data.

Hi, from my understanding Apple's SF Symbols can only be used in apps but not on websites or app icons etc. Can custom symbol images generated using the template files provided by the SF Symbols app and then edited with apps like Sketch and Figma be used on websites? The following images are the custom symbols I designed. Please let me know if I'm free to use them on websites, images, etc.

I would like to modify the content of a published LocationNode upon been clicked by the user. But unfortunately: func hitTest(_ point: CGPoint, options: [SCNHitTestOption : Any]? = nil) -> [SCNHitTestResult] returns an SCNNode array from which it is impossible to retrieve the original LocationNode being inserted in order to be able to modify it. Of course the solution would be to either insert the SCNNode corresponding to the inserted LocationNode in a custom class or conversely insert the identifier of the custom object as a tag of the LocationNode, in order to solve the issue. But both options seem impossible to implement. May anyone help me?

Anyone successful in creating custom SF Symbols with Adobe Illustrator? I've been starting with a variable template, and moving margins mostly works, but if I then attempt to center artwork, it leads the resultant SVG as not being usable by SF Symbols app. Specifics... I want one of my apps that uses icons for table view cells, to switch over to SF symbols. For most, I could take advtange of an Apple-supplied one. However, due to each symbol having a different margins, this leads to textual content in the cells not all being aligned. So I thought I would copy the symbols as all being custom, exporting as a variable template, and adjusting the margins in Illustrator such that all margins were the same. I also just tried a trial of Sketch. And while that didn't mess up the SVG, the feature set is too limited for my needs. One other thing I just tried in Illustrator was starting with a variable template, deleting all three symbols, adjusting the margins to be on integral pixel boundaries, and then centering a simple square path in each area. Importing back into SF symbols though shows my square non-centered. It shouldn't be this difficult.

There used to be indications on which size should be used for each weight in the Human Interface Guidelines. We know for instance that SF Pro Text should be used below 20 pt. My app lets users create things with text, and I've included Apple fonts so users can format their text with them. These were fonts I found in the Font Book app that comes with macOS. My assumption is that these, like the San Francisco font, can be distributed with apps. Do I need to attribute these fonts to their creators and publish a license in my "About" page? If so, where do I find the license(s) and what is the proper way of publishing them? Is there anything else I should know? Please let me know if this should've been posted under a different topic and tag
