I think in the next updates of IOS 26 that Apple should add a setting to enable/disable Liquid Glass because we all know that everybody doesnt like the new update.
Just updated to newest beta of 18.2. The update corrects several major email issues but now I am only able to pull sone of my emails when I open mail.
after opening my mail on the 18.2 iPhone 15 pro max I am ablevto pull only 1 message from Xfinity. When I check on my pc using outlook 2016 I am able to pull 18 additional messages. Going back to my iPhone after a half hour the additional mail messages still do not show up even after doing a hard reset of the phone.
apologies, but these mail issues need to be resolved. It is bothersome that ios 18 was even released to the public at all with these type of issues.
We are working on one of the projects for Hackathon for which we need to access the 3D Models of Apple Watch, it will help in making our project more realistic and effective, I wanted to know if we can get access for the same.
I’m developing an app that includes a navigation bar with a centered title and a single right bar button item. I’ve noticed that when both the navigation bar title and the right bar button item’s title are relatively long, the navigation bar title becomes hidden.
This issue only occurs on iOS 26. When running the same code on iOS 18, the layout behaves as expected, with both elements visible.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior on iOS 26? Is this a known layout change or a possible bug?
I couldn't help noticing that the Maps and Find My apps make extensive use of "sheets stacked on top of each other" to represent its navigation hierarchy, with a "new content comes in from the bottom" orientation instead of a navigation stack with
"new content comes in from the right side" oriented transitions.
I'm interested in this topic because I have a similar navigation-hierarchy-over-a-map case in my app (with a custom map view though) and I'm torn back and forth between the approach of replicating the "stacked sheets" vs. putting a navigation stack in a sheet, esp. with the navstack approach being way more attainable with the iOS 26 glass design.
I couldn't find any guidance for this kind of UI in the Human Interface Guidelines; I'm leaning towards the navstack-approach for my app; but in terms of the behavior of the SwiftUI container views in this scenario it seems a little bit of an uphill path.
Any thoughts on what pattern should be preferred for presenting a deep navigational hierarchy on top of a map-like view?
Hi,
in the Human Interface Guidelines, Apple writes:
Avoid using a segmented control in a toolbar. Toolbar items act on the current screen — they don’t let people switch contexts like segmented controls do.
Along with this image:

I'm confused by this example. The screenshot seems to be showing a segmented control in a toolbar.
Is this saying that the Phone app's All/Missed toggle is different from a segmented control? Under iOS 26 it seems to take a different style compared to a regular segmented control. If so, which component is used to create this filter?
Could you please clarify the guidelines? Thank you.
Hello,
I have used CPPointOfInterestTemplate for displaying data and as user scrolls using the up/down arrow, I do not see any change in the map. Is there a way to highlight the POIs as the user scrolls through the list?
I need to use the map controls and zoom to check the markers on the map. Is it possible to set the zoom level of the map in CarPlay?
Pls suggest on the above queries
Hello All,
I used to own an app named LOLIIPOP, and am in the process of transferring it to my new apple account.
I am having two problems....
How do I transfer the source code and binary to my new apple account?
My developers have an old code, so I need to send them the LAST code they uploaded to the App Store.
How do I do that as well???
Please any help!!!
Thanks,
Mr. LM
Hello everyone! The Swift Student Challenge officially starts tomorrow (February 3rd), and I have a question. Am I allowed to use tools like Photoshop to create artwork for my project? I’d appreciate any clarification. Thanks in advance!
hi all,
i have dating app, approved in google store, and working website
but i cant get approval from apple review team
( Guideline 4.3(b) - Design - Spam)
can someone help/suggest how to solve it
our app has 2000 clients already
Hello -
I have an older app on the store, iAchieved, that suddenly stopped working properly on iOS 18. You can see it on the store, here:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/iachieved/id1069338478
It still opens runs, and I can try to enter a new item, but something is wrong with the date, so that the "Done" button does not appear. And since it does not, I cannot tap it and create the item.
I'm not a developer, I don't code, I only designed the app and had someone build it for me.
But, if you can put it in layman's terms, any idea what's causing this?
Thanks so much for any insight you can provide,
-- David
I have been battling the new Icon Composer app for 2 days trying to build an app icon. However, I cannot get it to import any files. I have used the Apple provided App Icon Template. I have exported my layers to .svg and when I open the finder, everything is disabled. I can't find help for this anywhere. I am on Sequoia on my Mac and not sure how to design this app icon without access to the composer.
🔍 Context
The built-in screenshot editor in iOS and iPadOS (Markup tool) only allows users to crop images using rectangular frames. While this is sufficient for basic editing, it lacks flexibility for those who wish to tailor the screenshot to the aesthetics of iOS itself — which relies heavily on rounded shapes and smooth UI elements.
⸻
🚫 Current Limitation
• After taking a screenshot and opening it in Markup, users can only crop in rectangular or square formats.
• No option is available to apply rounded corners to the crop.
• As a result, many users are forced to use third-party apps just to achieve a basic rounded-edge crop, which feels unnecessary for such a common need.
⸻
✅ Proposed Solution
Add a rounded corner cropping feature to the screenshot editor.
This could be implemented as:
• A toggle to activate “Rounded Crop”.
• A radius slider (or predefined corner radius presets).
• Optional: an export option to save the result with transparent background, useful for designers and mockups.
⸻
🎯 Why it matters
• Aligns better with the iOS design language (cards, notifications, widgets, etc.).
• Saves time for users who currently have to rely on external editing apps.
• Greatly improves the presentation of screenshots for social media, UI/UX mockups, blogs, and professional use cases.
• Useful across many professions: developers, designers, content creators, educators, marketers.
⸻
📷 Visual Example
Here’s a mockup to illustrate the proposed feature:

⸻
💡 Bonus Suggestion
Allow exporting with a transparent background when cropping screenshots — especially useful for rounded crops or mockups placed on colored backgrounds.
I'm trying to create custom SF symbols and am getting this error message when I validate the template. It doesn't matter if I Export Template or Symbol. Also, it doesn't even matter if I make any changes or not, as long as it is opened in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and then I save it, I will get this error message when validating.
I have completed a code with chatgpt and I am unising the latest version of code. i am also using an m1 MacBook air (2020). would love to know if anyone have resolved this issue. by using the ai to correct the code it disrupts it with something. an incorrect imoout line, but after multiple attempts ai get it right. I have notice that the code shows up on the start meaning run, take some time to load the intro page.
Feedback for iPhone and iPad – Display Technology
Dear Apple Team,
Currently, the mainstream display technology used in iPhone and iPad is OLED. However, OLED panels produce significant PWM flickering, which strongly irritates the human eye. Many users, especially in China, experience eye strain, tearing, and discomfort after using OLED devices for a period of time.
There is a large group of users here who are highly sensitive to screen flicker and therefore cannot use OLED-based devices at all. What they truly need is an eye-friendly device with either LCD or flicker-free Mini-LED display technology.
I sincerely recommend that Apple consider offering iPhone and iPad models with LCD or Mini-LED panels. Such displays could provide better eye comfort, no flicker, and a healthier experience. Currently, almost no smartphone manufacturers in China provide such options, and even if they do, their devices often come with outdated chipsets and cannot be used as a reliable daily driver.
This presents a valuable opportunity for Apple: by addressing this demand, Apple could attract a unique customer base, increase sales, and even justify a slightly higher price, as many customers would be willing to pay more for the sake of their eye health. In the Chinese market, a truly flicker-free iPhone or iPad would be incredibly rare and highly desired.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. I truly hope Apple will take this into account.
Hi community,
I have a question regarding MusicKit, is it necessary to follow a design guideline to integrate this framework into my App?
Also, when no music is reproducing in MusicKit which placeholder we should show, do you provide the resource? Or can we create our own placeholder?
Thanks for all,
David.
We have found that on iOS 26 beta some of our app icons built from an Xcode 16 asset catalog containing a single 1024x1024 .png file have a Liquid Glass effect applied to them while others have not.
The documentation states that
If you choose not to use Icon Composer, you can still use an AppIcon asset catalog in your project containing individual app icon images and let the system apply the Liquid Glass material.
and
If you prefer, you can take advantage of the system’s automatically generated treatment that is applied to all app icons.
Is there any insight into how the system treats app icons that have not yet been updated with Icon Composer?
I've seen a few older posts claiming the same behavior I'm seeing which is my cloudkit/core data app only syncs to iOS when the iOS app is reloaded. Can someone clarify if this is a bug, or the expected behavior.
I have an iOS app which the entire purpose of it is to view synced data from MacOS, and I have a refresh button which does nothing because the data only syncs when the app is closed and reopened. Am I supposed to tell users to close and reopen the app to see fresh data? that seems like a terrible UI behavior, and I know apple does not accept this as all of their apps sync without needing to be reloaded. For example the notes app does not need to be reloaded for the MacOS -> iOS data to be synced.
