Unable to use iOS simulator below version 26 after installing Xcode 26 Beta 3
I installed the third beta of Xcode 26 with Xcode 16.4 installed on my machine. Once Xcode 26 was installed, all of my previous simulators were wiped out, leaving only the default iOS 26 simulators. I cannot create new simulators for iOS versions below 26. Here are my failed attempts to fix the issue: Restarted Xcode 16.4 and my machine Reinstalled the iOS 18.5 runtime Uninstalled Xcode 26 and iOS 26 runtime Reinstalled Xcode 16.4 Now, I literally cannot use a simulator in Xcode 16.4. Here is what I see when I try to create a new simulator in Xcode 16.4: According to Xcode, the iOS 18.5 runtime is installed, so I have no idea what is going on. Is this a known issue? And how do I get Xcode 16.4 working with the iOS simulator?

Unable to download iOS 26 Beta 5 Simulator
Hello, I'm checking to see if anyone else is experiencing an issue downloading the latest beta simulator. When I try to download the iOS 26 beta 5 simulator in Xcode, the download fails instantly. There is no progress, just an immediate error with no message other than the code itself: DVTDownloadableErrorDomain Code: 41. I've already restarted both Xcode and the Mac multiple times. I have also tried downloading on different networks to rule out a firewall issue.

Reply to iOS 26 Beta 6 in Simulator
Presumably Xcode 26 beta 6 will be released next Tuesday and that should support iOS 26 beta 6. It’s unusual that Apple released iOS 26 beta 6 only a week after beta 5 and likely a week before Xcode 26 beta 6 comes out. In short, no there is no iOS 26 beta 6 simulator yet.

Call Blocking (CallKit) not working on iOS 26 Public Beta
Call blocking using a third-party CallKit app is not longer working with the latest iOS 26 Public Beta (23A5297m). We've tried several different Call Blocking apps (that used to work fine on iOS 18.5) and their call blocking functionality is not working anymore. All calls pass through and the phone rings on those blocked numbers. We got several user complaints about our app that is not working on iOS 26 Public Beta. We've filed 2 bug reports with Feedback Assistant: FB19140680 FB19140594 Please fix this issue in the next Beta versions of iOS 26 to have a stable iOS 26 release in the future. Thank you in advance.

Reply to Xcode 26 / iOS 26 UISegmentedControl returns to index 0 incorrectly
Do you observe this issue on a real iPhone running iOS 26 beta? On simulators running iOS 26 beta or iPadOS 26 beta (under Xcode 26 beta 1-3), I observe the two following issues: When the first segment is selected and I select interactively a segment other than the first segment, the newly selected segment is hidden behind an opaque selection marker. This resembles the issue discussed in another thread numbered 789898. When another segment than the first is selected and I select interactively another segment than the first, the first segment is selected instead. This corresponds to the OPs observation in this thread numbered 791988). On a real device, however, the segmented control works as expected. I have tested this with the same code on an iPad Air 13 M2 running iPadOS 26 beta 3 (and with the previous betas). The segmented control also works correctly even on simulators when I sele

Reply to IOS Beta 12 Battery dies quickly
When I'm testing things alot on my phone the battery does drain faster. However, when I'm using my phone the way I was using it before installing iOS 12 beta, the battery life seems comparable. I'm running on an iPhone X so my battery is relatively new. What iOS device(s) are you running? Also, remember that one of the changes is a quicker ramp up to full processing power instead of the gradual ramp-up that was used before iOS 12 beta. If you are switching between apps and doing other things that will be pushing the power needs then you may see a faster battery drain.

How to Download IOS 26 beta runtime simulator using "xcodebuild" tool?
How to download the runtime simulators for the most recent Xcode 26 beta? The current download command I’m using doesn’t seem to work, and I’m encountering the following issues: The runtime simulator download command (xcodebuild) requires the version number to be specified explicitly. I’ve tried multiple variations of version names/numbers but haven’t been able to identify the correct naming convention used by Apple for the Xcode 26 beta simulator runtimes. $ xcodebuild -downloadPlatform IOS -exportPath ~/Downloads -buildVersion 26 Finding content...iOS 26 is not available for download. $ xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS -exportPath ~/Downloads -buildVersion 26.0 Finding content...iOS 26.0 is not available for download. $ xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS -exportPath ~/Downloads -buildVersion 26.0 beta Finding content...iOS 26.0 is not available for download. $ xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS

Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
I have been running iOS 9 beta 1 on an iPhone 5, iPad 4, and an iPad Air for about a week. Now as far as the iPad's go battery life has been pretty stable, however the iPhone 5 has been showing a lot of the issues reported here, but this morning was the kicker.I woke up the morning to find the screen was starting to warp on the left side because the battery (probably) had become bloated. Now it is most likely a coincidence that my 27 month old iPhone 5 battery decides to do this a week after installing iOS 9, but it has happened and I do look after the phone. That said I am left wondering if I should/shouldn't install iOS 9 beta 1 onto the iPhone 6 I bought this morning. Either way the one thing I have always noted with any iOS update, is that often when the battery behaviour become erratic, Apple has changed something and the best way to get it to behave again has usually been to flatten the battery
