Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
We have submitted an app which is published in production, however we are planning to move to use flutter and standardise the development and created the same design but name it to version 2 with new features, we are planning to migrate everything to this app but always get this issue and our appeal seems unable to reach Apple review some how. What should we do in this case?

My app update rejected by Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hi There! I released an app called Taino VPN with Russian IP on AppStore a month ago. After that, I updated the app successfully several times with minor fixes. Last time I submitted a new release with only small metadata and keyword updates and got rejected by Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. Original message is We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. I'm now very confused! On Apple's official website Guideline 4.3(a) says: Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. It does not make any sense because I have only 1 app developed from the scratch by me. Also, it does not match with Original reject message and 4.3(a) says nothing about other developers. I hope apple review support could guid

Reply to Guidance Needed: App Store Review - Rebuilding Previous App Under New Developer Account
Thank you for your post. There are several factors that may contribute to an app not following App Review Guideline 4.3. Typically, these apps share a similar binary, metadata, and overall concept as apps already on the App Store, with only minor differences. If you have questions about App Review's review of your app, we recommend requesting an appointment with App Review during the bi-weekly Meet with Apple Experts event. Sign in with your Developer ID and select App Review Appointment. A member of the App Review team will help you with your questions regarding the review process and the App Review Guidelines. Guidance Needed: App Store Review - Rebuilding Previous App Under New Developer Account
I'm seeking advice regarding an App Store review situation. Here's the context: We previously had an inventory management app on the App Store that had significant technical issues and bugs Instead of updating the old version, we made the decision to: Completely rebuild the app from scratch with improved architecture Use a new tech stack for better stability Submit under a new developer account for a fresh start The review team has flagged this as a violation of Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam, citing duplication of content and functionality. Key Details: We are the original creators of both versions The previous version was removed due to technical issues The new version is a complete rebuild, not just a repackaging We maintained similar branding as it's our own product Questions for the community: Has anyone successfully handled a similar situation of rebuilding and resubmitting their own app? What approaches worked for distinguishing the new version from the previous one? Are there specific techn

Reply to Design Spam 4.3
I recently did an experiment to figure out why my app update keeps getting rejected under 4.3(a) Design Spam, and the results make no sense. • I removed ALL changes except for minor number tweaks to character movement. • The submitted build is now 99.9% identical to the live App Store version. • This exact same codebase was previously approved and is currently live. Despite this, Apple still rejected the update under 4.3(a) Design Spam. This raises serious questions: 1️⃣ How can a build that was already approved now be classified as spam? 2️⃣ Why is Apple blocking ALL further updates even when there are no functional changes? 3️⃣ What steps can I take to get an actual explanation from Apple? Has anyone else experienced this? How do I escalate this beyond the generic rejections?

Design Spam 4.3
Hello So I have an application which is in the Apple store. I wanted to fixe some issue therefore i created update build with the following: • Reworked Character Physics: Improved responsiveness and movement for smoother, more controlled gameplay. • Bug Fixes & Performance Enhancements: Fixed critical issues affecting gameplay consistency and stability. Players will now experience better performance and more accurate controls. • Mac Catalyst Fixes: Improved support for macOS, fixing issues related to UI scaling and responsiveness. The changes above are basically all there is. Now it seems that i am not able to pass review as it constantly marks design spam and not give anything in particular. Whats up with that ?

Welcome to the forum. You wrote: I got case 4.3 resolved previously, Do you mean you once got a rejection that was finally solved ? If so, I do advise you, when you submit a new release, to mention this past rejection and its resolution and give details (incl the dates of this former rejection/resolution) in the notes for reviewer. That should avoid this type of new rejection.

Extremely offended by Inconsistent Review
Extremely offended. It leaves me speechless at how inconsistent the apple developer review process is. I got case 4.3 resolved previously, but they keep telling me how I violated 4.3. So I added new functionalities but they still reply with the same automatic response. They told me I have one thing (blocking function) before the approval, I did so, and they still reject me. I am about to lose a lot of money because of this inconsistent process. It makes me so angry and desparate. Please do your work.

Rejected for Guideline 4.3a - Spam and Account Termination because of that
Hello, I am a solo game developer with four years of experience, and I have recently decided to publish my games on the Apple App Store to bring a fresh vibe and address some issues I noticed in my game genre. I create games from scratch, often combining two genres to create unique experiences. One example is my electric car driving simulator, which includes unique systems like temperature-affected battery range, dynamic weather, a battery company management feature, police escape missions, and more. (Electric car games are not very common on the App Store, and mine stands out with these innovative features.) However, I’ve been facing issues when trying to publish my games. Since I began submitting my games, I’ve received repeated 4.3 Design Spam rejections. Whenever I request concrete feedback to understand the reasons behind these rejections, I consistently get the same general response about binary data, metadata, or game concepts. Recently, I was notified that my account is going to be suspended

Rejected because of 4.3 (a) spam
Hello. I've been struggling to get through the app review. It's been 3 months of constantly improving and adding new features to the app and getting rejected. A week ago i got a call from apple review team, and they said that my app shares the similar binary with other apps. They don't tell the specififcs or details. My app is a vpn app that is written by me in flutter. The only native code i have is a library that i use to work with vpn. I changed the entirity of the library, but still can't get pass. Although, the only think left is the xray-core (https://github.com/XTLS/Xray-core) framework that implemented as .xcframework to use vless protocol. Does apple check .xcramework for similarity? i can't rewrite the framework, because it written in a go language.

App Store Rejection (4.3 – Design Spam) | Plinco - Unique Entertainment App Blocked Without Clear Reason
My app, Plinco, was rejected under App Review Guideline 4.3 – Design Spam, stating that it shares similarities with other apps available on the App Store. However, Plinco is a completely unique entertainment experience, designed with original assets, mechanics, and features. It allows users to customize various elements, including risk levels and configurations, ensuring a personalized and engaging experience. Special features like triple elements and the legendary golden mode introduce an extra layer of excitement and strategy. The app also offers high-quality visuals, immersive sound, and dynamic interactions, making each session feel fresh and unique. I conducted extensive research on the App Store and found no similar apps in the Entertainment category that match Plinco's concept and functionality. My app is built from scratch, without using pre-existing templates or duplicated content. Despite implementing multiple updates to address potential concerns, I have not received specific feedback clar

Rejected for Guideline 4.3a - Spam
Hello, I am a solo indie game developer with more than 20 years of experience. I have been publishing games on App Store more than 10 years. My recent game PinPoint Master has been rejected under Guideline 4.3 for Spam. I believe this is a huge mistake because the concept, gameplay and game code is unique. There is not even a similar game on the App Store. I realized there are many complaints about this 4.3 Spam rejection. There many developers are getting rejected for spam in recent days. This indicates a possible flaw in the review system. I submitted appeal two times but no response. I was about to close a publisher deal for this game. They have been testing two weeks and decided to sign after App Store release. But his issue caused a big loss for me. Here is the YouTube video of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBQrSon0YJw I really need this error fixed ASAP. Thanks.
