Hi all! I encountered this problem. I submitted the application for review, this morning I was surprised that the application was rejected, reason 4.3 Design: spam. the application was developed by me, with unique code and design. Has anyone encountered this and can help me? The exact reason for the rejection of the application is not indicated in the letter, so I don’t understand what exactly I should change

Dating App Rejected Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam
Regarding Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam, your app primarily includes dating features that duplicate the content and functionality of similar apps in a saturated category'. Our app is a dating app for anime fans, we feature Tinder-like swiping but have many distinguishing features. Video: https://streamable.com/xedrse Website: https://senpaiapp.com We were hoping to launch next week and this is a huge disappointment, we even have a Japanese localization in progress. I think the tester had a bad experience due to swiping without interaction on the seeded profiles -- so I resubmitted so they can experience a=our distinguishing features like our anime recommendation engine. Anyway, is there a way forward? I've filed an appeal, but I would hate to miss launching ahead of Valentine's Day.

App rejected as it is considered as spam
Hi, unfortunaley my app was rejected the 2nd time with a reference to Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam with the explanation We found in our review that your app is primarily a drinking game app. Since there are many drinking game apps already on the App Store, your app duplicates their content and functionality. This is considered a form of spam. In principle the reviewer is right, my app is mainly a drinking game app. I added another play mode after the first rejection but the app remains as a card game / drinking game app. Now I want to prevent the situation that I work many more hours on this app implementing additional features and getting rejected again and again. Does anybody of you have experience with those kinds of rejections? I mean there is enough of almost any kind of app in the App Store; often apps have just slight differences in design or functionality between each other and did get the approval. I thought offering an app (of course having similarities to existing ones but nothing was cop

APP Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam What does that mean exactly? I took extra pictures with the phone from the app and upload to APP Store and the same thing over and over again (Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam) just the question Why don't you want to unlock it? what is spam? The APP Or the pictures? If the APP is spam why? That means One user cannot create two different websites with Various APP An e.g. I have a social network I want to do then a dating site On the dating app I only get a message saying it's spam Funny what's in an APP is spam? Because dating app? Or can a user not make multiple page APPs because it almost looks like this? Then that means BMW can't make new BMWs because the new BWM also has 4 doors and 4 wheels or how should I understand that? which is still funny on Google Play the same APP is not spam

4.3 - Design - Spam: Rejected
I have made an application with the main function to enter birth dates and export information based on the Mayan calendar in Japan. I explained to the reviewer about the Mayan calendar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_calendar And I still get a rejection from the reviewer: Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam It took me a lot of time to make this app. How do I pass this assessment? Everyone helped me with it. Thank you.

Keep getting rejecting under Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam, even though our concept is unique
Im currently developing a new party game app, but App Store have been rejecting the app because they say they say the following: We found in our review that your app is primarily a drinking game app. Since there are many drinking game apps already on the App Store, your app duplicates their content and functionality. This is considered a form of spam. Your app may include features or characteristics that distinguish it, but it prominently features functionality that facilitate games that encourage users to drink. Therefore, it is classified as a drinking game app and we simply have enough of these types of apps on the App Store. I have tried to add more to the app, than just drinking games, to a point it has unique characteristic (I cant say the specifics uniquness due to strategic reasons). To my understanding, they say they dont take in new drinking game app, but this app doesnt just have drinking games, but other things that no other app has. Does that mean that they also dont take in new party game apps i

App Rejection for Design 4.3 – Need Help!
Hey community, Spent a good two years crafting a multi-protocols VPN app for iOS and Android. Exciting news – the Android version's live on Google Play. However, hit a roadblock with the iOS version; it got the rejection stamp, and we've been trying to sort it out for two weeks now. Sent over four inquiries and even asked for a phone call with the Reviewer, but no luck so far. The rejection reason is Design 4.3, and they're talking about a similar binary, metadata, and concept. We're all ears for suggestions on resolving this and keen on getting our app on the App Store. Any insights or help would be awesome! Cheers, Mo

Reply to My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
The app guideline you mentioned specifically mentions dating apps so I'd assume the reviewer is applying this blanket guidance. It mentions the app must provide a unique, high-quality experience. I think you need to specifically explain to Apple why your app is different from the other dating apps. Also, I'd make sure the first run experience demonstrates these unique capabilities. If the Apple reviewer had a poor impression on the first run, that may have impacted their decision. 4.3 Spam Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. Also avoid piling on to a category that is already saturated; the App Store has enough fart, burp, flashlight, fortune telling, dating, drinking games, and Kama Sutra apps, etc. already. We will reject these apps unless they provide a unique, high-quality experience. Spamming the store may lea

My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
hi I submitted our app 2 days ago to review, and earlier this morning I was surprised that the application was rejected, Reason 4.3 Design: Spam. And I've introduced an application programmed by myself, and a unique design. We spend over 2.5 half years on writing the code and getting this app ready to state it is now. we went through multiple ux/ui designer we have in and out of the design inside figma. This is just generic. We submitted same app 4 weeks ago at first we got same rejection reasoning, then we got a replied and apple said there is an issue, and we fixed and redesigned again. I feel like we are just getting generic answer. What should we do ?The app is a dating app, and yes I know, Another one. but I see dating apps that are exact same copy of others getting published. ours we use AI and very interesting way of matching and completely different than any other UI out there. how could they possible say we are spam ?

App rejected as spam because using same proprietary engine
I recently submitted an app to the App Store which was rejected as spam (Section 4.3). After speaking to an Apple rep, I learned the reason. The app is based on a propietary cross-platform engine which I have been developing for several years. We are not using any third-party software or 'app templates'. A couple of years ago my son and I collaborated on another project - I did the coding using the same engine, but he did the design and content creation. He published it under his own developer account. We worked together on the new app as well. They are both educational apps. The older one is used for learning algebra, and the new one for memorising language vocabulary. They do not look the same and have completely different content. But App's search engines have detected commonality in the code, because much of the underlying engine is the same, and because we are using different developer accounts, has rejected the latest as spam. I wondered if anyone else had encountered this kind of issue, and if

An already live app for 3+ years suddenly gets 'Design Spam, item 4.3' rejection !!!
Hi, We have an app live on the App Store since August 2020. We have made some 50+ updates on the app with minor & major changes throughout these 3+ years. A few months ago we submitted an update as usual with some minor changes and a new feature but got 'Design Spam, 4.3' rejection saying: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. 1st question, how does an app that has been doing the same things for 3+ years suddenly gets 'Design Spam' ???? Then we sent a message to App Review with some screenshots of our app's update history taken from App Store Connect console and a message stating the same question as above. We got a reply: Hello, Thank you for your reply. During our review, we found that this app duplicates the content and functionality and icon of other apps submitted to the App Store, which is considered a form of spam and is not appropriate for the App Store. Now they mentioned

B2B white label apps - against guidelines?
I'd like to build an enterprise white label iOS app - that is, apply different branding to identical templates. Guidelines 4.2.6 and 4.3 seem to prohibit this as spam. However, I found these apps which clearly share the same template: ADM Farmview Valero Cornnow Scoular View Purefield Ingredients Graincraft Grower Connect Townsend Grain ...etc There are dozens more. To see them all search: site:apps.apple.com developed by the industry-leading Bushel platform. They have identical screenshots, description text, even version number. How can I do this, without being rejected for spam?

Reply to A problem I'm going through
I also received this message and the problem is our app has an online version already. We just fixed some bugs and tried to upgrade the version of our application in the AppStore. We tried about 4 times, the reason was always 4.3 Degisn: Spam. We are confused because we didn't change any of the binary or concept or UI, just some inner bugs fix. We tried to appeal but got no reply.

Reply to App Rejection for Astrology App
The same problem `Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam Your app primarily features astrology, horoscopes, palm reading, fortune telling or zodiac reports. As such, it duplicates the content and functionality of many other similar apps currently available on the App Store. While these app features may be useful, informative or entertaining, we simply have enough of these types of apps on the App Store, and they are considered a form of spam. Next Steps We encourage you to review your app concept and incorporate different content and features that are in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.` I spent many days working with Apple, even changing and removing the horoscope, numerology,... functions, leaving only the features related to Tarot cards, but the results remained unchanged, Apple Guys did not care about the content of our application, they simply think that there are too many applications of this type on their store, it's unfair but we can't do anything else, even if our application is bette
