Apple Pencil pressure values erratic
I'm trying to use the Apple Pencil pressure values to draw a line of varying thickness. I find that the pressure spikes erratically, often showing full-force at the very end of a stroke, when actually there is no touch. Also the very beginning of a line reports as much higher pressure that quickly drops to something much smaller. And occasionally in the middle of a line when I am drawing lightly, I'll get one or two touches that are spiked really high also.Is this a common thing? How do you prevent it? I will probably just start filtering the pressures and maybe tossing ones that vary drastically from one point to the next, but it should not be doing this, should it?

Reply to Raise to wake not available on iPhone 6. Not much for the older phones before 6s in the new iOS
The Apple A9 chip introduced on the 6s(+) features an embedded M9 motion coprocessor rather than a separate chip i suspect its even more battery friendly than a separate M9. So maybe with this new M9 Apple can afford to leave it on checking for a raise to wake event without adversely impacting battery life. Hence limited to 6s(+)

Reply to Apple Pencil Pairing Issues
I had the same exact issue and was ready to buy a new pencil, I saw a youtube video of someone saying the battery in the pencil just needed to heat up to be reactivated, I figured I had nothing to lose so I held it under a hair dryer on hight for 2-3 minutes, I plugged it into my iPad and it now works with out any issues. Hope this helps, give it a try

Apple Pencil blocking Finger Touch Events
Hello,I am trying to make a web app that uses the pencil and finger input simultaneously. However, I have found that whenever the pencil is on the screen, no new touch events can occur with the fingers. This is true the other way around as well. I have tried using PEP pointer events and I'm still running into the same issue. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? Or some framework I can use to get around this? Thanks!

Reply to Apple Pencil Pairing Issues
I am currently having the same problem, the pencil is taking too long to pair and the last time I saw it said it was 3% battery but it was on its dock. I have an iPad air. Looking for a fix but can’t seem to find one. Seems like apple isn’t looking for any either because this forum has been running for three years.

Reply to Final build of watchOS 2
Yeah my battery life is the worst Ive ever seen it, not even on the beta build. I used the Workout app and battery life went from 50 to 37% during a half mile walk with my wife. I'm doing wipe and re-install now to see if anything changes and file a bug if need to.

Anyone else have shocking battery life/health with iOS 14.1
I have an iPhone 8 and updated it to iOS 14.1 when the update came out, all was good for the first week or so and now my battery health has gone from 91% to 50%! I’ll charge my phone and it will decrease in barters percentage drastically just by using it for 10 minutes (eg. Start on 75% and after 10 minutes of use go down to 23%) I can barely use my phone without it being on charge now. It also keeps shutting off while on 20-40% even though it’s not dead? It’s even died on me at 67% which is beyond ridiculous. Needless to say this is the last iPhone I plan on owning, just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing the same issues?

Reply to How to keep the Watch always turning on to detect the heart rate when our app is active?
NO. This would needlessly drain the already short battery life of the Apple Watch.Powering the screen and the sensors to read heartrate would drain the watch ina very short time if it were to remain on and active.

Reply to iOS 10 beta 6 is causing severe battery drain
ios 10 beta 6 was bad at battery life but I would get to at least 50% by noon - around 4 hours of usage, now i barely get 2-3 hours with beta 7, second day in. ios 10 beta 5 was great with battery life.
