Reply to iPadOS 13.1, AVSpeechSynthesisVoice.speechVoices get zero voices
After 2 days (Sep 27), the voices FINALLY comes back.I guess iPadOS is downloading something not completed then.Because after I update my iPhone 7, it also temporarily got no voices. But it recovered faster than iPadOS, I was confused these days.I think Apple should provide more information from this API call,So that developer can handle this situation and tell user what to do.This make me afraid of any new iOS/iPadOS update,It's too difficult to handle some strange situations.

iPadOS Picture-In-Picture automatically invoking when backgrounding App
We're currently seeing a new behavior in our iOS app (not fully iPadOS compatible yet, but does support basic pre-iOS 13 multitasking). We have a screen that has an autoplaying video on it - This video is intentionally not available for PiP mode (we manually disable the button for it)However, with the new iPadOS, even though we've disabled the direct interaction to enable PiP, when we background the app the video goes into PiP mode automatically. This was not occuring in iOS 12.Is this behavior change new to iPadOS? Is this something we can disable manually if it is?I'm concerned about this because of the note on AVPictureInPicture's documentation:NotePicture in Picture (PiP) is a user feature that Apple intends to always be under user control. Invoke PiP only in response to a user’s explicit request to do so. If an app invokes PiP in a way that is not under the immediate direction of the user, it will be rejected by the App Store.Since there's no interaction on the user's part, this

Reply to iOS 13 Beta 2 to Beta 8 App setting of type PSSliderSpecifier returns incorrect value when accessing from app
I can confirm this behavior, and I think I was able to pinpoint what exactly happens and a possible workaround.1) Like the op said, the default value is read correctly. However, it is never reflected by the slider's UI.2) The slider's UI is hardcoded to real numbers between 0.0 and 1.0. It does not calculate anything, and it reflects your default as you specified it. If your default is bigger than 1, the slider will be at maximum from the first run of the app. If your minimum was 0.5, your maximum was 2.0 and your default was 0.6, the slider will appear at 60%.3) Any user interaction with the slider will replace the default with the slider's position between 0.0 and 1.0.The workaround will therefore be:1) Translate the default values of your slider to a scale between 0.0 and 1.0. For instance, I wanted the values:min: 0.001 mindefault: 0.01max: 0.15In iOS 12 I chose 1 min, 10 default and 150 max, and multiplied them by 0.001 when reading them.In iPadOS 13.1:min: 0.0 (nothing we can do about that)max:

Problem with sending UDP and TCP packets from NE Filter Control Provider after upgrading to iOS 13
Hello there. So we have our application using Control Provider sending small data packets using UDP or HTTP depending on client configuration. Our Control Provider uses BSD socket API to send UDP packets and URLSession to send HTTP requests. The App was working fine on iOS 12, but after upgrading to iOS/iPadOS 13 our Control Provider stopped sending UDP packets completely (while BSD sendto() returns correct nuber of bytes sent which matches the size of original payload) and for HTTP we can see only socket init packets, SYN - SYN/ACK – ACK, but no PUSH, so no data transfer. We tried to capture packets on both sides – on server side and on remote virtual interfave (rvi0) on iPad. We see same bahaviour on a few iPads in our lab.Any ideas to what we are missing or what has changed since iOS 12?Regards.

SwiftUI and ARKit BodyTracking
Is anyone else seeing issues with ARkit Body Tracking and SwiftUI?I am finding the the face tracking works fine if you have a view that appears with ARKit, does the tracking then goes away. This can consistently be done over and over by switching to the view and using it.But I can't do the same with BodyTracking. If I have a view that is making use of BodyTracking then it only works if I show ONLY the view with the body tracking as the very first thing to appear when running the app. If I show any other views before switching to the one with the BodyTracking then it does not work. Also if I display that first view (which works fine) the switch to another view and back to the BodyTracking view then it no longer works. This feels like a bug in ARKit, SwiftUI or iPadOS (don't have a phone to try it out).Anyone else running into problems with SwiftUI and BodyTracking?I get the following output when running my App (both when it works and when it doesn't). Feels to me like SwiftUI is causing issues with the

Reply to Mobile Web Inspector doesn't work with Safari 13
The same problem here. Sometimes (with my iPad pro 10.5) it helps to power down the tablet and power it on whilst being connected to the Mac via USB. The same procedure does not do the trick with my iPhone Xs. The phone will show up in the dev menu after booting only to disappear again after unlocking the phone and the SIM. (Safari 13.0.1 / iOS 13.1.1 / iPadOS 13.1.1)

Reply to SIDECAR iPad mini 4
I just found this list from a 3rd party site. The iPad Mini 4 appears to have dropped off the list. It was working fine in the first iPadOS beta. Reply to iOS 13 Mail app not working with Global Proxy
I see the exact same thing. Please file bug reports. After upgrading to iOS and iPadOS 13, all internet email accounts (Gmail, ISP, all port 993 IMAP accounts) are unable to sync when the Settings>Wi-Fi> HTTP PROXY > Automatic Proxy is set to any proxy.pac file that uses a proxy. All other traffic works and is routed correctly through the proxy, and all email and web traffic on all iOS 12 devices works correctly. Does anyone else know of a workaround? This knocks out email for anyone on an automatic proxy. I have created a minimum working example of the bug. Here is a sample proxy.pac file that shows the problem: function FindProxyForURL(url, host) { // return DIRECT; return PROXY 10.0.1.3:3129; } I have confirmed the issue with my own deployed proxy, and a standalone mitmproxy proxy to debug this issue. Here's a fast way to stand up a proxy: sudo port install python37 py37-pip sudo pip-3.7 install mitmproxy ruamel.yaml ruamel.yaml.clib mitmproxy-3.7 --listen-host 10.0.1.3 --listen-port 3129
