Reply to Battery Use Worse
I took my watch off the charger at 0630 this am....left it upside down so it wouldn't turn on...and it's now past 10 and at 95%...I think the battery issue really is due to increased sensitivity on wrist raise...I've had the watch since the week it came out and the screen turning on all the time is the first thing I noticed with WatchOS 2...yesterday by this time it was at like 50%

Reply to Can't boot into recovery
Seems the same issue with 10.11 as there was with 10.10The Recovery partition is hidden by default. Once you have created a drive to boot from you can go intorecovery and Run these 2 commands in a terminal.diskutil cs listand thendiskutil coreStorage revert lvUUIDwhere lvUUID is the last lvUUID reported by the previous Terminal command. Then restart for everything to get back to normal after you have run these commands in Terminal. Then also the recovery partition will show up again in the startup manager when you boot up with the option key.

Crash with NSOpenPanel and XCode 7
Using El Capitan and XCode 7, the following trivial snippet of code causes a Swift related exception to be thrown:func openDocument(sender: AnyObject?) { let panel = NSOpenPanel(); let types = [ abc, def ] panel.allowedFileTypes = types; panel.runModal(); }The exception is [Swift._SwiftDeferredNSArray supportsSecureCoding]: unrecognized selector sent to class 0x1002de2c0. And it is triggered when assigning types to allowedFileTypes.

[NSObject init] vs NS_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER
Just started building my app with 10.11 SDK and am getting a lot of warnings on classes where I have explicitly set NS_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER where init is not one of them.E.g@interface MCChecksumAccumulator : NSObjecttypedef NS_OPTIONS(NSInteger, MCWantedChecksums){........};/- (instancetype)initWithWantedChecksums:(MCWantedChecksums)wanted NS_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER;@end@implementation MCChecksumAccumulator <<<< Method override for the designated initializer of the superclass '-init' not found- (instancetype)initWithWantedChecksums:(MCWantedChecksums)wanted{...}@endIf I remove the NS_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER from initWithWantedChecksums: then the warning goes away. But I've done this explicitly to prevent people trying to use init on this class directly.Looking at NSObject I see:- (instancetype)init#if NS_ENFORCE_NSOBJECT_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER NS_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER#endif ;and NS_ENFORCE_NSOBJECT_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER is declared as:/ NS_ENFORCE_NSOBJECT_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER == 1* marks -[NS

Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
ssame problem here, both on iPhone 6 and the Apple Watch (not yet upgraded to Watch OS 2). Burned through a full, nearly new iPhone 6 in 5 hours without actually using the phone for anything except with the watch. Watch battery gone in 4 hours. Did a complete reset of watch, and set up phone from scratch. Not so much battery problem on iPad Air.

Mouse Cursor Growing
Not sure if this is a new feature or a bug so let's see if more people have this.I installed the beta of 10.11 last night to start updating our app codes. While working I've noticed that everytime when I move the cursor really fast it grows on screens and scales back when stopping/slowing down.If this is a feature... it's definitely gonna take some time to get used to.Also it's impossible to record this in either video or screenshot. The OSX screenshot function removes the cursor automaticallyand everytime I started a screen recording with either Quicktime or Camtasia 2 the Feature would not present itself.

Update Stuck on "Checking for Update..."
Is anyone else having trouble updating their Watch to Watch OS 2 beta? I'm currently stuck on the step where you need to actually update the Watch's software. When I go to the Apple Watch app on the iPhone, then General, then Software Update, it displays Checking for Update... and has been doing so for at least 30 minutes. I thought my corporate filter might be blocking the download, so I went on 4G, but it's still happening. I've tried restarting both the Watch and my iPhone, which is running iOS 9 beta, to no avail.I've followed all the steps in the installation guide up until this point, and I'm pretty stuck. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

App thinning and syncing with iTunes
I'm using iTunes to backup my devices, and restoring to my device usually takes less than two hours. iCloud backup is great, however, downloading every app from App Store would take days. Also, I sometimes update apps on my grandma's iPad via iTunes syncing where no Internet connection is available.Since thinned app contains no universal binary and resources, I assume that it would be unable to sync to iTunes. Will I be able to download download a complete version instead on iTunes?

Reply to On device watchOS debugging impossible
Resetting worked for a time (I managed to get a project running from xcode in a debug state a few times) But then very soon things have started decending into chaos again. Xcode started failing to attach to process, then the watch app stopped launching at all, constant loading spinner even when started directly from the watch. Now I'm left with the app 'installed' on the watch, despite having been removed from the device, as if the communication between the two has just stopped flowing. Currently rebooting everything to see if things pick up again. At least I now know it is possible, even if for a fleeting time.
