Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
Now I've been able to run my iPhone 6 128GB with iOS 9 beta 1 for 40 minutes straight in standby mode (just viewing some e-mails from time to time, mobile data enabled, all background stuff disabled with not even 1% loss on the battery. Battery saving mode is also disabled. Don't really know what I did.. All I did was viewing the log files through the device viewer in Xcode. Disconnected the cable after a while and ended up where I'm now.. Before viewing the logs in Xcode I rebooted the phone also. But I did not change any settings in the phone from where it was before so I don't really understand what's going onSoon it's actually 50 minutes without any battery loss.. still at the 97% as it was when I disconnected it from my Mac. Seemingly the background activity going on before on the home screen also suddenly stopped.I'm going to spend my weekend looking into this matter a bit deeper, just for the pure fun of it

How do I generate an RSA public key using a modulus and exponent in iOS? (Obj-C)
Hi guys,I need to generate an RSA public key from a modulus and exponent and I'm unable to find any resources where someone has done this successfully. I can't even find a way to do it in Apples documentation. I have heard using SecKeyRef and/or OpenSSL is the way to go but searches on both of those lead to nothing that has worked (and what I tried is far too extensive to list here). Is this something not possible in iOS? If anyone has any ideas how to accomplish this I would greatly appreciate hearing them. Thank you.

Reply to Battery overspending IOS9
Just for reference.... installed Beta 9 on Ipad air 2..... going for 2 days so far at 50%. (use in the evening for about 2 hours)Installed Beta 9 on Iphone 5C for 4 days (NOT BEEN USING - but Notifications come to phone) it is at 50% after 4 daysIpad Air 2 was UPGRADED from 8.4 (beta 3) the Iphone was complete restore as new phone.I phone 6 plus I have BETA 4 (OS 8.4) on it (this is my main work phone) I get about 2-2 1/2 days on a charge.I did notice after installing any new iOS, the battery does drop about 10-15% in the first hour..... but usually becomes stable.Just a personal observation with my units.

Reply to Battery overspending IOS9
I can say that I usually make it from 6:30 to 17:00 with ~40% remaining on a regular work day (with iOS 8.4). With iOS9 I can make it from 6:30 to 12:00 with ~40% remaining. Definitely filing a BR on this one, hopefully it gets fixed in next release. There's a similar problem in WatchOS 2 with battery draining. I used to make it all day with ~40% remaining when I got home from work, now I'm lucky to have ~10%.

Reply to Can't restore backup to iOS8 from 9 beta
Just to be clear, because I'm new to ios betas. I do a full iTunes backup of my iPad 2 WiFi, then instal ios9, I SHOULD be able to restore back to that ios 8.3 no problem? Because it sounds like that's what the OP is trying to do essentialy, and it's failing. That blurb in the notes usually goes for OS X as well, but at least with OS X we can clone/restore back completely from backup with out issue. I might wait for B 2 regardless, but i'ts still nice to know what i'm getting into.

Yahoo Mail Password Crashing iPad
Have iOS 9 installed on iPhone and iPad. I also have Yahoo Mail accounts on both.iPhone - Lots and lots and lots of pops up telling me my password is incorrect, try entering again. I just ignore them and Mail is pulling fine.iPad - Would not pull Mail so I went into Mail settings and started re-entering my password for Yahoo Mail. For discussion purposes, my password contains these characters......ica#Y......When I enter the Y, Settings crashes. 100% of the time.So...any thoughts on a) why this is happening and b) why only on the iPad.

Game Center authentication sign out query
Hello everyone,I have a query with regards to Game Center authentication capabilities. While taking this method into consideration I arrived at an edge case for which I would request some additional information or guidance. In the following event: 1.An user boots the app on an iOS device and authenticates with a Game Center account 2.Then resets the device to erase hishers information of it (maybe to sell it) 3.Picks up another device to play the same app on, but this time he does not sign in with a Game Center account 4.The user plays for a while and makes some progress 5.Then decides to sign back into the previously used Game Center account. At this point a conflict would arise between the existing progress information between the Game Center account and the local progress (achieved without the Game Center account). Given the available documentation, would it pose a concern to show user a warning dialog informing that due to the Game Center sign-in, the user can now either overwrite his current pro

Reply to Can a Safari developer download iOS 9 beta?
Safari developers aren't Apple developers. You need to enroll to apple developer program and pay the quote. But, if you aren't an iOS developer, you should NOT install a beta version on a non-testing terminal.I've known all betas since iOS 4. I know what I'm talking about. Things like no battery (1-2 hours of battery life), no iTunes app, or Phone app not working, all these things can happen on a beta. And, also, is not a warning for a beta 1. For example, my problem with iTunes app happens with at least 3 beta versions, if I remember correctly, beta 4, 5 and 6 of the same iOS.
